Perma-banned for trashtalking

Now, before I start, this is my opinion, and I'm just venting.

I got perma-banned tonight for trashtalking or being "toxic"... What I don't understand is, its a COMPETITIVE game, people trash talk when in a competition. Its just human nature. Why isn't trash talking allowed, let alone, being able to PERMABAN for it. I'm sorry but trash talking is allowed in almost every other competitive thing(sports, games such as CoD, Halo, WoW, Dota). Also the fact they can PERMABAN an account that has spent over 1000+ dollars on the game is pretty much stealing. I know I can't change what happened but I'm just putting in my two cents.

Dunkey put it the best way... “I can understand being banned for cheating, or going AFK...or feeding on purpose,” Dunkey said. “But talking shit to some guy that is a total dumbass? What is this, ******* ***** *** baby preschool time?"

I'm sorry but we're not in elementary school, League has turned into a game where the developers and community are babies. The devolopers are also incredibly greedy.

I wouldn't listen to the advice of people that are extremely hateful and get themselves banned. It sets you up for failure.

the 14 day ban wasn't indication enough for you to shut the fuck up?
I do agree that their punishment system needs work. a 10-25 chat ban means nothing when you aren't restricted in the pre and post game lobbies (where most of the major toxicity takes place these days). All it does is force you to play beginner bot dominion for those games, or be even more toxic in normal games by not being able to communicate properly to your team mates. (pings can't do anything like No flash top, no ignite mid, etc)

What I would do is add another level before the 14 day ban. Chat restriction, then a 7 day ban, followed by 14, followed by perm. This way you at least have that First strike so to speak so you have a chance to change your behavior during that week, and if you continue then you get the 14 and even after that if you're still toxic then they can remove your account.

Human nature lol. I don't think, that mother nature has planed that a normal human beeing is flaming or blameing or talking shit in a fucking computer game. No go and grow up. Btw the majority of the community dosn't trashtalk . (95 % never get a restriction) So it seems like, that only 5% of the community act out their "human nature" .....

Here's a tip on how to not get ban in this game. Don't say anything at all unless you're giving a compliment or make a game plan, you'll never know when you rub someone the wrong way. http://www.auplod.com/u/uopadl6d63e.png

Just because its a competitive game doesnt mean you can be toxic. You dont see it in other activities, and if you do its either usually with friends who know you are joking around, or (in the case of things like major league sports) they get fine and usually put on bench for x amount of games. Also you cant really compare this to home console game, because most of those are for actual speech, you can get ban (from PSN/Xbox Live) for chatting (like leaving a hateful comment to someone) why people keep using those as an excuse is just beyond me.

Yes this isnt elementary school, so stop acting like a child in thinking what you say has no consequences. People shouldnt be told they need to die, or have some mental disorder just because they did badly in one game. That has and never will be acceptable in any form in game or real life. so grow up!

Personally, I think you should be allowed to trash talk the enemy team, as long as it's just a bunch of profanity. not sure what riot thinks about this, what I can't understand though, and riot agrees here, is people trash talking their own team. that's gotta stop.
