Was This Really Bannable?

I've had this account for several years now and never had any punishments until very recently, I guess you could say I was on good behaviour. Through all my years of playing League, I have NEVER EVER received a 10 game chat restriction, or a 20 game chat restriction. I basically skipped the first two tiers of punishment. Recently I got a 14- day suspension for saying the following: Game 1 Tigermeow: for? Tigermeow: just another weeb ruining the league community Tigermeow: hey man free speech Tigermeow: esp if you're a %%% lol Tigermeow: jkjk Tigermeow: thanks me too Now none of this was directed toward my teammates, and really I was just poking fun, you know? sense of humor? The first comment about weebs, I don't even think should be bannable and I'm sure it isn't the reason I got banned. Clearly I was poking fun at the beginning of the game. I'm sure the reason I got banned is because of my comment about being a "%%%" which was taken out of context COMPLETELY. It was never meant to be offensive, and clearly I was joking about what someone had said, I can't seem to remember what the person had said, but it was not directed toward anyone on my team or the enemy team. I'm really just wondering if this is really bannable or is it just because I say one word, clearly as a joke, and boom ban. The person I was playing with also got banned, but his language was much more consistently vulgar, as I had just said one word.

Hate speech isn't a joke, and it's met with a 14-day ban as the first offense, and, as the 14-day ban message tells you; your next punishment for any offense will be a permanent ban.

Always read the rules before agreeing to them. Yes it's really long, and just bothersome when you want to play a game, but ignorance is no excuse for breaking the rules.
