So riot is banning players that are toxic right? Guess why (most of) toxic players are being salty and flaming in the chat? Cause you dont ban trollers/griefers etc Riot why dont you fix the ban system for griefers and trolls rather than banning toxic people cause of them If a player annoys you just mute him?! Also the honor system is absolutely n o t g o o d if u get a suspension and get to honor 0 you cant get out of it:)) unless u play 100 games a day. Inb4 hate kappa*[slayer-jinx-wink]*

I utterly fail to see what you're trying to do here. So you want Riot to ban trolls and griefers for being toxic (which they do btw), but then turn around and say it's clearly okay to be toxic as long as it's in chat?

Simple:

A flamer is relatively easy to detect. You just need to run the chat-logs against a list of "bad words", and you get a good idea of who did what.

Lets say I decide, mid game, to troll you, and run into a turret...how do you detect that automatically? How do you differentiate between me doing that on purpose and someone who simply plays badly?

The core issue here is: People usually play badly not because they troll...in 99% of games, people play badly because they, well, are bad at the game ;-) And being a bad player is not something you can punish people for (well, unless you consider bronze a punishment ^^).

Writing software that can detect trolls, while not falsely punishing bad players as well, is a non-trivial problem.

The reason toxic people are salty and flaming is because they can't get a hold of themselves. There are ways to avoid punishment y'know.
