Good job riot, you succeeded in creating a champ that players will get toxic and whine about Kill stealing in a team game.

The easy solution seems to be to tell them to look at their inventory for their gold. This is literally the only character in the entire game where you can PROVE that it was absolutely more valuable for you to "killsteal," and it's possible the Xayah didn't know that.
The issue is clear here. It's not Pyke - it's the people who still have that mindset of "all kills go to me or I can't/won't carry". Those people are typically low in general skill and game knowledge, and think that, as they're a carry (or they may want to be a carry), they need to have all of the available resources allocated to them.
The thing they need to learn is that "kill-stealing" isn't a thing. Sometimes your Support (or someone else) is going to be the one to get the last hit in for whatever reason - ADC is too far away, cooldowns are still going, or some other asinine reason. They need to get it in their head that there's no "I" in "Team", which means that sometimes, they're gonna have to let other teammates get some of the resources. Whether that's Supports/other players getting the kill, or Supports taking a bit of CS while they're away.
The biggest hurdle for it all though is that, for many people, vanity is one hell of a roadblock. It can take a helluva long time for people to realize that they can do just as well without direct kill gold as they can with it.
Sorry that you had to deal with that Xayah, and moreso that their ego cost you the match, but hopefully there'll be better matches ahead for you.
There are still ADCs that think Relic Shield is stealing CS. Riot can't design their game for the lowest common denominator. It's pretty well understood at this point how Pyke works.
Remember to explain to your teammates that they get an item in their inventory that compensates them for the kill gold. If they are the last person to assist in the kill and your ult kills them, they get an item in their inventory called "Your Cut" and it looks like 
. If their inventory is full, the item is auto-consumed and adds gold automatically, like how Klepto auto-consumes the items that are obtained if your inventory is full.
Pyke's ult gives 2x kill gold. He gets full kill gold, the last assist gets plus the assist gold to equal 2 x kill gold amounts awarded for 1 kill, plus normal assists for everyone else.

Pyke Ult = Full kill gold
Assist 1 = Full Assist gold + (which is full kill gold - the assist gold obtained by a player) = Full kill gold
Pyke Ult = Full kill gold
Assist 1 = 1/2 Assist gold + (which is full kill gold - the assist gold obtained by a player) = Full kill gold
Assist 2 = 1/2 Assist gold
This means that Pyke and his team is rewarded for larger team fights and chaining his ult properly and helps snowball his team with gold. Since the assist gold is a fixed % of the kill gold, the becomes a crazy gold generating tool. Whoever you "kill steal" from isn't actually getting hurt if they pay attention to their inventory/gold amounts.
If those people want to keep all the kills for themselves, they need to uninstall league and go play a single player game, one that doesnt have any other players. Otherwise they need to STFU and stop crying because they dont get "all the kills" by default
Its a team game, WHo the fuck cares who gets the kill. If you are more concerned about "I got most kills on da team" than "we destoyed the nexus and WON THE MATCH" then seriously Uninstall, because the concept of the game is lost. I hate KDA players who only care about "look at me and all Muh Killz" Pisses me off to no end, and results in too many lost games.

Technically speaking, it's still kill stealing. Just the gold is shared after the steal.

as long as they "helped" they get gold soo i'd say not a kill steal but kill secure :)
