Conflicting Info Regarding Leavebuster

Does anyone know how many games you have to play over what period of time before your Leavebuster level starts to decay? I've found anecdotal posts saying that it never decays, and I've found other posts that say it will. Personally, I've played over 60 games in a month without a disconnect only to be hit with five 20 minute delayed queues on a single internet outage. I know Leavebuster was developed to help identify and punish people who have an established pattern of leaving games, but what is the frequency of that pattern? One leave in 100 games? One leave in a month? Two months? There doesn't seem to be any clear information on this anywhere.

There is no specific answer to that. All leaves aren't equal and we don't really have any information other than ranked leaves count for more.

It seems to me the system is looking for people to be under around 1% leave rate. So start thinking like 100 games without leaving for every game you have left. There will be a popup message when your status improves.

The truth is there isn't anything you can do with this information anyway. Your goal should be 0 leaves. Nothing should ever change having that goal. If there is any meaningful chance you will have a technical issue or will have to leave you shouldn't be queueing.

It does decay but we don't know the actual number. It could also take into account how frequent you are leaving your games.eg if you only left less than a handful it shouldn't take that long to decay whereas someone who left a large amount of games would have to work a long time to decay!

If you hit the 20 min it takes a long time to decay. On my one smurf I went over 100 games without a leave trying to get the message that says that my status improved ,left one game still got hit with the 5 for 20. Ranked games and the amount of time you remain afk are taken into consideration. Just set up a game and then go grab lunch it's really not a bother
