The player using jax in our team false called his role and then i asked what role was available and he never said anything and thus when the game started it was shyvanna (me) versus caitlyn in mid he said he accidently called mid trying to call bot with his buddy who he was playing bot with so me over here having a bad game because of jax left me at a total disadvantage i left the game i rarely leave games if not never and now riot wants to punish me in lower queue Riot is a joke when it comes to punishing there players [zombie-brand-mindblown]

Your punishment has nothing to do with the other players.

You are being punished for leaving games. Don't leave games, period. Other people misbehaving doesn't excuse you doing the same.

This isn't Sesame Street. These are people with limited time and other things to do.

I support leaving games in the right circumstances like group harassment, if you have to go or if the team is trolling. Leaving games is better than flaming someone for the next 40 mins then getting the ban after.

You're right, this isn't Sesame Street, and you're right that some people have a limited amount of time on their hands. However, just like in real life, someone else acting up doesn't excuse your own poor behavior. In real life most stores will throw out everyone involved in a fight regardless of who started it because both are equally disrupting to the environment around them. Same thing in League, if multiple people start fighting with each other then both get punished for their behavior since they are focused more on arguing with each other than they are on their surroundings. If you can't act mature when around other people then you won't be allowed to be in that establishment anymore. This is why people keep saying "mute/ignore, report and move on", to try to prevent you from becoming collateral damage.

As far as leaving goes Leaverbuster is programmed with built-in leniency for when people have to leave suddenly and punishes those who become chronic leavers/afkers. If you can't commit to a game fully then don't queue up for one.

I used to play basketball at a gym and had this same exact situation happen. You know what I did when the whole team were being jerks and the game stopped being fun? I took my ball and left. The game then ended.

Never had a problem after. Funny how it works.

Not wanting to sit through a horrible situation in League? Deal with it sucka.

I think leaving a toxic situation instead of fighting and instead of sitting through Round 2 of abuse in post-game chat is actually the most mature thing you can do. Because remember, no mute is permanent.

I wish it worked this way. Usually whoever has more people on their side wins the fight and gets to be the one who gets the other person punished. I've been the recipient of 4 groups successfully rallying for reports on me.

False reports go nowhere. So either their report was legit, or you didn't get punished.

You can report for 3 categories each try. Think of it as 3 fishing lines. With League banning people for using the word "idiot", the threshold is so low that it's likely a report is going to work.

I agree that having to deal with a rager is never pleasant. However, if it's just one rager then if everyone can just ignore them then the game usually becomes more bearable since the rager is just raging into thin air. For me personally if I see someone constantly complaining on my team nonstop I'll usually tell them once or twice "dude, complaining about it nonstop isn't gonna change anything. Let's just focus on the game." and sometimes it works and they stop complaining in the chat. If they don't I'll just mute them and continue on with the game. Obviously your results may vary.

Yes muting isn't permanent but it doesn't bother me because I just leave the room after reporting the troublemaker. If they continue to rage post-game then I'll just add something along the lines of "their poor behavior continued into post-game chat".

From my experience it doesn't matter how many people rally to one side since all it takes is one report to flag the game for review (something you're probably tired of hearing). I've been playing since S2 and have never been warned nor banned since I don't intentionally do or say things that I know will just tick people off. Have I made mistakes in some games? Yes. Am I perfect? No. Do I take my anger and frustration out on my teammates? No.
