Perma Ban

Just curious, why does the majority of people on the forums tell people to mute trolls, yet when people bring up the fact that instead of perma banning players you could Perma Chat Restrict; Why is that you all act like Perma Chat Restrictions dont work?

You know Im glad im a real good person not a hypocrite. This community makes me disgusted sometimes. I seriously feel bad for the players that have invested in the Company , and their accounts; Only to lose them so a money making scheme can continue. I dont even understand why riot thinks this scheme is so much more profitable . Im talking about Perma Ban causes players to leave to other games that are really fun like Heros of the Storm. Perma Chat Restrictions is the way to go for the good of Riot.

Quote from Riot Tantram regarding perma-chat restrict:

It really breaks down into two categories.

1.) Helping players reform 2.) Shielding others from the behavior, at a cost.

We used to issue chat restrictions that essentially scaled indefinitely.

We were able to determine that after a certain point the penalty no longer helped with reform. The 10-game and 25-game counts for chat restrictions are based on data that they were both light enough, and felt strict enough to encourage people to understand their behavior is unacceptable in game and change it.

We also saw that the players in this 'large restriction' category defaulted to gameplay altering means of harassing their team. It caused an increase in feeding and trolling.

The sample size of this population and time frame is huge. Essentially the time spanning from the introduction of chat restrictions to the introduction of IFS.

So my question for you is, would you rather have more feeders and less negative chat?

They shouldn't be so quick to issue permabans imo. Should at least be a month ban and maybe even a 3 month, before your account is permanently lost to you. Just all that shit, practically deleted. I feel that's a bit harsh. But damn, have you really thought it through? Like how they used to perma mute, and it didn't really work? How players just resorted to trolling eachother, instead of flaming? And then you gotta be realistic and understand how much harder it is to detect and confirm true trolling/griefing going on.

Yes I do believe in permanent chat restriction for those who can't use it properly. My post is about lack of communication in general, and how trying to be pro-active in communications seems to hurt more than it helps. Its not necessarily that they just flame back. In my experience lately they'll flame you, report you, spam ping/ spam "X is alive" then start throwing because they'd rather see you take the L. Even in rank I've had people get spiteful at me for trying to win and not giving up A LOT recently. I don't know how to play around these selfish players

The perma-ban I feel should be used for int feeders. I feel if you purposely throw, you don't deserve to play at least for awhile. If you can't be nice, you can't talk

Well its clear ladies and Gents Chermorg an advisor for Riot and Imperial Panda who repeats rules on other forums posts are clearly against Perma Muting because only according to them it doesnt work. So there is the answer.
