I have been a victim of afk/dc in ranked matches which makes it insanely hard to win. 4v5 is never fun and puts everyones down. Why do I have to be penalized for someone afk in a ranked? I've lost series because of this. Just want to see if its possible to do something about this.
The issue with removing peanilties for LP loss or even partial loss is the potential for abuse. This way, you could duo with a friend on a smurf, if you're losing, your friend's smurf just AFK and you take reduced LP loss or no LP loss at all.
I agree that there should be some compensation for having an AFK in Ranked, it's just really hard to make sure that it wouldn't get abused.

I think the game should count as a loss but no lp loss and no change in placement. Kind of like a game that didn't count. Reason is people do it to troll or what ever. But that person who afk should get a serious penalty.
People get triggered when I bring up features that Dota 2 has, but here's one...
The AFK player's gold is given to the rest of the team, the other players can take control of their husk of a champion, sell the items to contribute more to the rest of the team's gold, or to make plays with the champ using micromanagement.
Obviously this only happened 6 minutes after the player had left, which was basically confirmation that they had abandoned the game, or won't be coming back anytime soon.
