Role Stealing Without Saying Anything is Bannable?

So in champ select I lock in Morgana, then the player who has been assigned ADC chooses Yuumi right before the timer runs out (they were last pick).

I don't want to dodge so I play out the game with two of us having support items because I don't want to play full AP Morgana (I'm a support main and only play support).

So, long story short, we end up losing lane pretty hard because neither me nor Yuumi are taking minions (support item kind of prevents that) and lose pretty hard to early level difference.

I do get a few kills here and there but we end up losing because of this.

I didn't report post game because of the nature of the player's actions and how I don't think the automated system would do anything, but I want to know if I write a ticket to player support explaining the situation, would anything come of it?

Edit: I want to summarise a few things.

  • I was assigned support (the role I queued for).
  • Yuumi was assigned bot/ADC (whatever you want to call it).
  • Yuumi was the last person to lock in, intending no champ through all of champ select but locking in Yuumi near the very end.
  • This was a draft pick game (y'know bans and roles).
  • Yuumi started with the support item and did not make any attempt to play the role assigned to them -- they played exactly like a support.
  • Yuumi did not communicate at all in the pre-game lobby, in-game or post-game lobby.

Yes; if the bottom laner didn't try to communicate with you about swapping roles and just selected (and played) a Support, then that is a verifiable case of trolling, and a Support Ticket would fairly likely lead to action.

That said, I'd remove the link to the match history page, as I'm fairly certain that linking the match in question (while detailing the player's behavior/Champion choice) constitutes Naming & Shaming, which is against the Boards Universal Rules.

To answer the OPs title, yes. I have a previous example of this exact thing resulting in a ban.

Keyru (NA) You went into Champ Select as Top pick and after ban phase decided to take your Jungler's hovered pick and IMMEDIATELY switch to Ghost/Cleanse. Not only this, you don't type at all during this time to your teammates and then type "dance mid"

the player who has been assigned ADC

Just an FYI here - the role is called "Bot," not ADC. You do not have to pick a marksman or any specific type of champion in any role. There are legitimate strategies that run two support items in the bot lane. Riot does not enforce a meta or a type of champion in any role. Yuumi didn't steal support from you, she chose a certain champion in the role she was assigned - Bot.

Just a quick question. Was this Normal Blind Mode or Normal Draft? My spider sense tells me this is Blind.

Anything you do in-game can contain clues about you.

Summoner spell choice, item choice, champion choice, attacking minions, or positioning yourself on the map can all be interpreted as an act of toxicity.

It isnt any particular in-game action that gets you in trouble, it is your intention while commiting it.

Every choice that was coded in this complex game is a potential pitfall. Anything can lead or mislead someone to conclusions in regard to your thought-crime.

A strong strategy at MSI this year was Sona/Taric bot lane, both with support items.
