The Toxic "antitoxic" playerbase

will the topic of all the players who view themselves as the "non toxic" heroes of the game who are actually just witch hunters ever be addressed?

so many games you see the witch hunters accuse people of toxicity even if they havnt been toxic. and then the game basically toilets. I'm not saying that there aren't toxic players, but lately its been a witch hunter that starts the whole flame war.

you can almost always see it coming, cause it starts with one word "toxic". as soon as you see that word you might as well hide the chat box, cause it's not gonna be good.

it even spreads to the forums, on countless threads the witch hunt starts. the best part about the witch hunts is that everyone is so convinced that they are the good guys that they basically start harassing others for being "toxic" or having been toxic at one time.

it's gotten rediculous everyone thinks it's some war and the others have to be run off/destroyed. so much so youre alienating people who just try to help with hints and tips.

can we all just relax. the world isn't out to get you.

The irony dripping from this post is... well, ironic.

There is some truth to what you say. You can hardly express any kind of disagreement in game without someone considering it 'toxic' behavior or calling you 'salty'. Maybe part of the problem is that the report system is automated, so context becomes irrelevant.

May I ask for an example of what you believe is someone calling out someone else for being toxic even though they weren't?

i agree. the white knights and professional victims are just as toxic if not MORE toxic than flamers

I see it everyday here where someone will post about getting restricted and why they don't deserve it and then one of the people here will comment "Good you toxic asshole, I hope you be banned".

Yes, it really happens in the boards. The voting system also instigates a lot of toxicity as people can anonimously downvote threads. When threads are enough downvoted it brings people to reply to OPs in a toxic manner, backed by the forged low acceptance of the threads.

I found the witch burn it!

Due to the fact that so many people have been kind enough to prove me correct with the downvote thing, I will assume the community is not mature enough to handle such an issue yet.

I agree with your assessment on in-game behavior. I hope people will one day learn that calling out trolls in game is literally the worst possible choice of action. Someone who is actually trolling wants to be called out, it validates their existence in some twisted delusion. Someone who isn't trolling is just going to get frustrated at the other person for being a twit.

I am of mixed agreement on the forum side. Certainly, some "antitoxic" people are a bit overzealous (or worse), but most of the time the "toxic" player in question is either badly mistaken about the systems, has compromising chat logs, or some combination thereof.

passive aggressiveness & toxic instigators are punished in game.

It's interesting how in a game with issues such as matchmaking, client crashes (which has gotten better imo) and champions becoming hilariously broken, that the main issue seems to be the chat.

The kids who try to bait you into being toxic are the worst, luckily it's super easy to get them raging mad without doing anything reportable.

Unless you suck the dick of everyone you talk to you are toxic Kappa.
