Seriously this 20min low priority has to stop

I don't AFK, my connection goes out when its bad weather outside. This 20min queue bullshit needs to end, as it already takes 10 million dodges just to get a match that lasts 40mins itself. I understand the policy of punishing "AFK'ers" which is absolutely fair, but again I'm not one of those people. My internet went out for two matches and I came back to them BOTH, calm down Riot jesus christ its luck that people are addicted enough to play this game anyways. There needs to be a new system that can tell riot the difference between an "AFK" and a lagger.

Punishments for leaving are not only for people doing it intentionally. They are just as much for people with repeating connection/computer issues.

People with connection issues aren't collateral damage, they are a target of the system.

Where did he say anything about paying for protection? If you are talking about having a bad PC or internet, then yes, you are expected to be playing with a certain minimum; if playing on a toaster is causing you to ruin the game for others, then you needn't play the game at all. You need to consider the harm you are causing everyone else to satisfy yourself.

I don't have a "toaster", thats exactly what I'm saying here. The connection occasionally goes off when the WEATHER IS BAD. I have played several matches during bad weather and been absolutely fine, and actually great matches when its snowing, I love league then. The punishment is too harsh, and if Riot wants to do a better job at nerfing, they should start with nerfing this punishment.

Then stop playing when the weather is bad. This is so obvious. You know full well it might disconnect, so you are responsible 100% for your leaves.

So then they need to create a system that detects the difference between an "AFK" and a simple connection issue, its not on the player to control their connection, especially when their connection is completely fine for multiple previous matches. Is that not reasonable??? Just because I leave the game for, what like 10 minutes due to a connection problem it doesn't give them the right to limit 5 matches for 20 minutes each. Plus, I usually only get effected by server lag, as the weather isn't always bad. This means its yet again on their part.

There really isn't any way to tell the difference between rage quitting at connection issues. There would be nothing to stop someone from just pulling the plug on their modem which would come up as a DC even though it was a rage quit. I doubt anything would change regarding connection issues anyway other than the messages you get when you leave being specific to DCing.

Everyone is expected to have occasional issues. No ones connection is perfect 100% of the time and there is built in leniency for that reason. You are not punished for leaving individual games, but rather because you leave games at an unacceptable rate. If you are at 20 min low priority queue you have long since used that leniency up.

You need to identify the problem and fix it before you queue up, not just hope you don't DC again.

Again you're misunderstanding, its not my fault that literally the area I live in gives me connection problems, they need to lift the punishment.

It is your responsibility to provide a working internet connection and you are failing to do so.

It sucks, but you cannot be allowed to ruin peoples games because of where you live. Every time you leave a game you are demonising the game for 9 people(maybe as low as 4 if you want to say the opponents enjoyed the free win, but I really don't buy that most people really want that, it's just trying to find a silver lining)

That doesn't work. People just unplug their internet or some other method to create lag.

It's rarely on their end. There are tests you can run to see where your lag starts, and 999 times out of 1000, it's you and your ISP. If you fear you may need to go, dont play. Especially in this crappy weather, plenty of people are losing power.

I'll play if I am sure I am able to come back and still win after a 10 minute disconnection. My connection isn't so severely bad that I can't play at all - its a mere disconnection that happens off and on. Come on now, this punishment is way too harsh and Riot should definitely be lenient.

If you think its ok to spend portions of the game disconnected then you easily earned your punishment. It absolutely ruins the game for your team, and greatly lowers the chance of winning.

I'll tell you right now its not that I think its okay. I'm saying that it rarely happens to me, and the one time it does I get one of the worst punishments in the book aside from bans. So everyone here honestly can't just sit here and tell me its fair.

Whether you left the computer for something else, lagged out, or quit playing the match, its all the same. Your team still got an afk.

Both ways, your team gets an AFK. Yes some people deserve to be punished and others lag or something, but the team still gets an AFK. Without this punishment, people woudnt care. Whether your intentionall AFK or not, you wouldn't care without this system.
