I was once in the tribunal and review several games and instance where there was insane abuses by other players, these were rare but we did have them now......... It is getting common in every game. It is time for the tribunal to return. I would love to serve the community again.
One of the main reason they removed the tribunal was because of the sheer amount of cases that were coming in to be reviewed, prompting an automated system that could handle them faster. If the tribunal returned it would have to be limited to only a few of the cases that happen, because there are just too many players and not enough of them are dedicated enough to participate in the tribunal.
The tribunal was very slow and had a high rate of false positives. Most people that voted in it just waited until they could vote and then clicked punish.
I dont trust the League Community with handling cases. its Basicly a popularity vote ususally on whether or not etc was meta or not being the deciding factor.
if you are looking to make sure people get punished, the instant feedback system does that job fine already (though it does a horrible job in letting you know it did something).
If you are looking for community contribution, then there are probably other ways other than the tribunal itself.
If Tribunal came back then it would have to be manned solely by Riot employees to avoid those who think toxicity is okay from not punishing those who deserve it.
Sure, they could just use those who don't get reported often, but who's to say they're not toxic? They could easily be those who purposely make dumb mistakes to piss off their team instead of typing, and those people don't get reported often. I've had a lot of games where I've seen feeders and everyone left near immediately after the game ended, which gives them no time to report.
I'm sorry but I don't trust people's complete lack of logic and rational, critical thinking that I see online, to judge what's right and wrong in game. Fuck that. Little 14 year old boys judging whether my behavior is worthy of punishment? No thank you. You see how people are here. Why would you trust their judgement?
