Report Auto Lockers Using The Chat (Blind Pick)
Today I got auto locked by some jerk without a way to report him, and to report him I would have to play through the match with him and then submit a report that possibly wouldn't work. So I had an idea, why don't we use the role-call in the chat to decide who gets what role and use certain commands so that people can change roles. Then, using a machine which can recognize inaccuracies can punish auto lockers who lockin without the consent of the one who called the role first.
like the command for the first role call would be for example
/jg , mid, adc, supp, top
** /Duo jg with (name)**
which then would need the adc to use /solo adc
Otherwise the match is dropped with no one recieving penalties for a mix up in roles.
**-The machine then can announce who has what role. ** and to trade roles it could be
/Trade role with (name)
-Then the machine can announce the trade
Then if theres a person who doesn't call a role it (most likely the auto locker)** The machine can drop the match in 20 seconds.** Put people back into the waiting list and punish the auto locker with a hefty low priority queue time.
I personally play alot of blind pick since i dont really enjoy the pressures of ranked and my decision making isnt the best.
However I don't like draft either because it takes sometimes an extra 10 mins just to get a match started that ends up with a person who's new at his role but can't get it in blind to flop and snowball the enemy team. This also would clear out auto lockers who tend to be un-cooperative in the match.
Those who lie about their roles will most of the time cost their team the match and get reported by their team.
Lots of people are joining league now shouldn't we try to encourage troll picks to go to the less serious queue vs the more serious?
PS. League is largely positioning in a team fight and directing your team so playing a mirror match isn't to big of a deal and improving the overall mood of the players will help the community grow and to eliminate people who easily give up.
i also realise that auto locking isnt punishable its more about the mindset that comes with it and how it ripples into other queues.
A person who really wants to get their role but cant due to a auto locker will go into draft and waste time and if they're new at their role will be lacking in it. Its theoretical but it could help. Why do we have such terrible players in ranked low queues? maybe because they cant break certain habits they have.
