I've NEVER been notified, not once in 4 years of playing this game, and I've seen some really toxic people out there.
Some of the report categories do not ever generate a notification. Checking multiple boxes in your report may increase the likelihood of not receiving a notification.
All of the report categories that do generate notifications, the rate is set quite low. This is to help prevent troll groups from datamining the IFS's current deficiencies.
When a notification is generated, it goes to the person who's report triggered the review of that game. So, if more people report, there's less chance of you receiving the notification. If 9 people report, you only have an 11% chance of receiving the notification if one was generated.
So, with especially vile behavior, more people are likely to report, and more of the boxes are likely to be checked, so the worst behavior has the lowest chance of generating a notification that will be sent to you.
I thought you only got notified if the game you reported in was the same one that got the offender banned.

Be aware -- Only one person (if multiple report the person) gets the notification of punishment administered.
It's been months since I received a notification, but my reporting frequency has been about the same.

Every time, but not every report leads to a ban.
I get notified about 75% of the time, but I save my reports for the real ass's out there, so I rarely report more than once or twice a month, if that.
I have never been notified about it. And im pretty sure they should be banned after phrases like "i will find you and i will kill you", "kys", "go die you son of a bitch", but I have actually never received a single one.
