Anybody else feel like the reporting system doesn't work?

I love league of legends. The game is fun to play, so much stuff to try, champs to play, builds to troll with etc. but i feel like any time i do poorly i get flamed upon, and when i send my report i rarely get the notification that the player has been punished. This disturbs me because the game is not nearly as much fun if you have players that are toxic. Please comment below if you agree or disagree with me. Here is a circumstance that i have run into that i feel needs to punished.

Champion select: Toxic player 1: Fat boring guy if you do not gank well, i will come to your house and slit your fat fing throat Me: This is my first time Ekko jungle, so i will probably not do well. sorry, but it is just normals. Toxic player 2: Just shut the f up and gank properly Me: no guarantees

now in this scenario i muted these 2 players as soon as the game started, but it was still not fun because Toxic player 2 didn't leash, and i had a bad game and the chat afterwards (while i was reporting) was so bad. I can not put the actual curse words in there, but you get the idea.

Be happy that you didnt get banned for responding, with knowing how broken riots report system is, you got lucky

I mean it's understandable that they don't notify after every report. It would be nice. But you have to remember everyone is on different terms. This could have been their "one bad game" as for all you know they were calm in their last game but they had someone similar to you first time jungling, and doing poorly, only to start another game with the same scenario.

I'm not trying to make excuses, but sometimes people can only take so much of people trying to "break the meta" because they saw some pro so they think they can play a game and be just like them. People should take every mode seriously and that shouldn't be an excuse for you to play poorly just because it's normal. Everyone should be trying to win, and while I do enjoy using different champions in different roles, I'll never use the excuse that it's just normals.
