Accounts that were not banned in error are not unbanned. I'm sorry I can't bring better news.
Except when banned for security or payment issues ;).
Except when banned for security
they are never unbanned for that

They often are. A security ban is when they think an account may be compromised, and you can definitely recover accounts locked by hacks.
but aren't these those
"this account has been banned for security reasons. sorry but we can't provide any further information because of security reasons and nothing you say will matter"
type of bans?

...no? Account recovery is often a thing, when/if you can prove ownership. Honestly not sure where this idea came from.

it's regarding the script bans and the predefined belief that at least some of the players who claim to be innocent... really are

3rd party bans are NOT security bans. By "locked by hacks" I meant "your account has been hacked, so we security banned it to prevent further access."
are security bans "non-negotiable" so to speak?
[{quoted}](name=The Cream Reaper,realm=EUNE,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=EQUbNvAl,comment-id=000200000000000000000000000000000000,timestamp=2017-11-21T16:01:13.711+0000)

Security bans are the ones that can be overturned once the security concern is resolved (i.e. you have proven ownership of the account, and the issue was that someone else had gained access). Third party script use is not unbanned, and are non-negotiable once Riot has double-checked their evidence.

"evidence" that can't be passed along to the account owner... summoner by any means, right?

Riot does not pass on information on scripting, no. That information would let others create better bots specifically to avoid those detection methods.
That's not true my account was "locked" for security reasons and was unlocked once I contacted support and got it all straightened out.
Those aren't technically bans, but locks. The messaging is kinda crappy on that to the player (it just says "banned - contact support"), but there is a difference behind the scenes with how they're handled. The locks are never intended to be permanent - just until the issue is resolved.
Yeah i know, but the massage given when logging in to one of those often makes it look like a ban. Maybe riot should reword them.
Hot damn, if I knew I could get a massage when I logged in after getting banned I might have faked getting my account compromised a lot sooner, just to get some relief for my aching shoulder muscles!
FYI the word you are looking for is 'message'
English isnt my first language and there are some words that just kill me...
I understand and respect you wholeheartedly. I hold no judgement against you.
English is a BS language with a lot of similar words and stupid rules that are confusing.
I was simply enjoying the idea of getting a massage when being banned. The absurdity of the idea got the better of my willpower and I could not resist commenting with a joke about it.
I dont think english is a bs language. I really enjoy it. I was just too lazy to learn most of the vocabulary while in school and learned most from listening to movies videos and stuff. The pronounciation in message is pretty damn close to an a imo.

Indeed it is very close. I agree that it could be very confusing or easy to mis-type.

To each their own I guess. I'm a native English speaker and I find the language to be a chore to use. I enjoy the act of communicating, but I would much rather be able to do so in a language that is more practical.
Unfortunately for me, it is ingrained all over the world.
My native language is german and its horiible. There are grammar rules that are just mindblowingly stupid.
That sounds awful. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I took a lot of Spanish lessons throughout my education, it seemed to be a fairly practical language. At least it had a lot more obvious patterns to it than English did.
while we're on topic, is it possible that an excess of flame can skip over the 14 day ban and go straight to a perma or will the semi ban always be there as a last line of defence?

I believe it is possible in extreme cases, but I'm not 100% certain on that point.
do you have an example of an extreme case by any chance that you can link to?
[{quoted}](name=The Cream Reaper,realm=EUNE,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=EQUbNvAl,comment-id=0002000100000000,timestamp=2017-11-21T15:47:05.992+0000)

I don't tend to keep links to examples of toxicity, so I'm afraid I don't.
i just wanted to know what qualifies as "extreme" because different people have different definitions
I would imagine that extreme cases involve excessive hate combined with blatant disregard for the rules.
For example if a person spent the entire game flaming their teammates and calling them <insert derogatory slur here> while also saying things like, "yeah I know this is against the rules, but it's worth it to punish you for being a <insert derogatory slur here> who feeds all the time."
while also saying things like, "yeah I know this is against the rules, but it's worth it to punish you for being a <insert derogatory slur here> who feeds all the time."
minus the slurs, i've dont that much a couple of months ago once and i got a 10 game chat ban for it
so i think there's a bit more to it than that since adding the slurs results in a 2 week ban
[{quoted}](name=The Cream Reaper,realm=EUNE,application-id=ZGEFLEUQ,discussion-id=EQUbNvAl,comment-id=00020001000000000000000000000000,timestamp=2017-11-21T18:45:19.654+0000)

Indeed, I'm suggesting that the extreme cases might be the cases in which the person was both excessively toxic and completely dismissive of the rules. For example, extreme and excessive hate speech in addition to claiming that they fully know the rules and don't care anyway because this is their #th account or other similar blatant disregard.
If a person demonstrates that they are willfully breaking the rules, not just accidentally, then that gives Riot indication that they have no intention of reforming and I suspect that this alone would be cause to escalate the punishment. Combine it with excessive hate speech and it would probably be cause to immediately permaban the account.
well outside of Meme-pEye i don't see anyone testing that theory so i guess it's good enough for me
I don't think cream is even testing it. At least not as extensively as they claim.
Plus what cream claimed to be doing doesn't really have anything to do with something like willfully admitting to knowing they are breaking the rules while also heavily bullying another user.
something like willfully admitting to knowing they are breaking the rules while also heavily bullying another user.
i thought he did that in that youtube video he keeps spamming around
You mean the one with voice actors playing different parts and reading lines off a script?
Aaanyway, whatever the case may be it would not work the same with cream. Riot's in-game system handles the reports and bans, so an out of game source of evidence would require a human to review it before action could be taken.
I'm sorry, you had your chances, a 14 day ban was your wake up call and you chose to ignore it.
pls man...
I'm sorry mate, but you've had your chances, you should have figured that out.
No. Chances were given. Game is over.[cass-cry]
Sorry, you had 3 chances to reform.
10 games chat restriction 25 games chat restriction 14/15 day ban Permanent ban
Clear bait, OP downvoted his own thread.
