I have been playing this game for a long time and I have never seen so many afkers (mostly on my team) as well as lopsided gameplay.
Is RIOT doing ANYTHING? Is leave buster even active anymore?
yeah i dont know about it being mindset like what the other jerkoff said, but at any rate i absolutely have had way more afkers this season.
I think it has to do with of course, the lopsidedness of games and how easily the game is won once your ahead, with first turret gold and bot lane being so worthless this season and turrets being weakened to the point of almost non existence as long as you dont dive them at 5 minutes in. The games are ending or being decided extremely early. at least 80% of my games are decided by whether or not my bot lane decides to die 6 times in the first 5 minutes. if they do, its an automatic loss and i just farm while they go from 0/6 to 2/21/10 and report them after because theres nothing i can do but sit and wait for the next one.
When these one sides losses start happening a lot, afk players show up more, because of how tilted they are with how bad of a season this has been. I can absolutely understand why people would just straight up leave.
I've had plenty of mid laners instantly leave the game because bot lane lost first turret at 7 minutes in before i can even complete my jg item and get level 6/7 and help, because the enemy bot lane immediately turns to mid and takes it over.
It's a sad thing, but so many of these people afking and leaving on purpose, actually do have some justification to do it, they wont sit around and waste time on the bs.
Lopsided match making in draft picks should be corrected next season with positional MMR.
There may be less AFKs as a result of less lopsided matchmaking.
The reason there are more AFKs is because of how powerful snowballing is this season. Most people already realized that most games are decided in the first 15 minutes but there are always two assholes that think they can still win and refuse to surrender. So people don't even bother, they just afk.
