10 Game chat restriction then perma ban?

It's been an hour and I still haven't received an email. it's only strange because doesn't you're account get temporary suspended then permanently? I know riot will never give me my account back, but this is so strange. I was just having a cup of coffee and won the game and my client stopped responding and when I tried to login it said permanently banned. I may have got frustrated but I never said any racist or homophobic comments towards my teammates or the enemy team, could this ban for be another reason? To be honest if anything I was expecting more chat restrictions or temporary suspensions. It seems like the ban system is completely based on the judgment of one employee who can terminate your account if he wishes to.

If you goto https://repay.leagueoflegends.com/ does it say you owe a balance?

That isn't really the standard message when an account is banned. Usually there is a date and the year can be a code for the reason. It probably isn't chat related from the last game you played because you would have been punished by the instant feedback system and a reform card would pop up when you log in, you would just be unable to play.

The non-standard messages like that, as far as I know, are connected to 3 things. Payment issues(which can be fixed by repaying w/e you owe), account security issues(your account will be suspended indefinitely until you confirm it is yours), and manual punishments by riot staff.

Make sure you check your spam box and all that for the email and then submit a support ticket.

It could've been because I had VPNs open a couple times and logged into the game only to see a ping of 300 and close the VPN to play with my normal ping. But permanently? That is awful judgment.

If that is what happened, it isn't that you are suspended as a punishment. If you were logging in and out with and without a VPN in a short period it would look like multiple people logging in from spread out locations that couldn't possibly be you. It isn't that you would be being punished for using a VPN, they lock your account because they think it is compromised. If that is what happened support will ask you some questions about your account and when you answer them they will unlock the account.

If you stop assuming the worst at every step the process of finding out what happened and/or getting your account back a lot easier on everyone, including yourself. Even if Riot are the terrible people you seem to think they are(they aren't), you still need to work with them if you want a resolution.

You are 100% right, but I find it somewhat unprofessional to permanently withhold an account without an immediate explanation as to why. Either way I will not judge Riot anymore, I'd just like to spend some quality time in the game.

I mean you are supposed to get an email. There are a billion reasons why that might not have happened, and not all of them are related to Riot.

Make sure your correct email is verified by clicking your profile on the top right and going to settings. Once you've made sure it's correct, check your spam folder as well. If it's all in order and you haven't received it, submit a Support Ticket.

I do my best to be respectful and helpful. Especially in cases like this where there is 0 information about what the punishment. Behavior is not the only thing that gets accounts suspended.

That said, you don't do yourself any favors by also using this as an opportunity to take jabs at Riot.

It has been a couple of hours and I still have not received an email explaining the cause of the ban, but the login error asks me to check my e-mail. I am extremely confused at the moment.

If you didn't get it by now then you probably wont. W/e the reason you didn't get it. The email was probably sent, maybe they messed up the address somehow, maybe your email wasn't up to date, it got tagged by a spam filter, accidently deleted. There is no way for riot to know that you didn't get it so its not like going to be trying to resend it.

You are just going to have to wait for a response to your support ticket. In my experience that is about 1 day, it might be another couple of days after that cause it will probably have to be escalated.

The support team got back to me and told me I was banned for feeding and trolling. Not one game out of my 200+ games did I feed or troll. I did AFK, for which I was punished by the leavebuster, but not once did I feed or troll. Do you think they will provide me with examples of my games if I try to prove them wrong or will they just move on and ignore my e-mails?

I think they will usually give a match history link for the games in question.

You can try, keep in mind that on top of your match history, they do see your mouse & keyboard movements and clicks.

So if they can see a noticable difference between those games and the games you are trying to win, then your case doesn't favor you.
