Sharing My Experience

I just wanted to share my experience, even tho this happened a while ago. I was chat restricted for suggesting opening or ending the the game faster by running it down so that they get more gold and can end faster. Now I am imagining that the person reading this feels uncomfortable as they imagine meeting as person like me in their game. This is what I wrote exactly: "Artig: do we open Artig: or do i int so that they can end faster Artig: i didnt see our bot Artig: aaa Artig: lets open"

The chats down here are extracts of our conversation which went on for a few days and I am not mentioning their names, as they havent agreed on sharing their identity. The extracts I am picking out here is the points they make towards my game directly, as you know rioters are usually really vague about their "sportsmanship" and "teamwork" and their explanations on these kinds of things.

This is what the first rioter said: "We want to encourage sportsmanship in League of Legends. For example threatening to give up when your team tries to fight back is not very sportsmanlike"

This is what the second rioter said: #You -have- to take responsibility for your own behavior and chat and inting is against the competitive nature of the game, you can't just opt out of it in-game, so yes - being the one on the battlefield yelling, "abandon all hope, the battle is lost" is toxic and probably makes the others fighting want to friendly fire. It's not the way you said it, you were so nice and polite, and I appreciate that, it is refreshing to see - but it was the same thing over and over that gave your team mates a negative experience through this particular match."

This is what the third rioter said: #In your case, being flamed becuase you wanted to forfeit is not fair and I can see that. They could have just said no. Still, that is not a reason to use the game time to send messages the entire match that are not helping the team's strategy. Being a team-based game, if the team wanted to keep on playing, it was the decision of the majority and they could have really used your help."

This is what the fourth rioter said (in my opionin the most competent one, tho you cant see our conversation): "Look how much time you spent shifting the mindset of the game from "hey, we're here to play and win this game even though we have 2 flamers who are only loosing their lane & blaming me" to "hey, let's all argue about this the whole game". No matter how bad a teammate, or even an enemy, chooses to act in the games, you'll have to look past it & always remember to report them."

Now you, random person on the internets, are assuming that I am a complete nutjob. I am somehow threatening my teammates tho I wont point out how you are wrong in that. Note that I didnt run it down, I didnt afk and I didnt by mind control force my team to either open or int. I noticed that my botlane was trolling me, since this is a while ago I remember that they went something really out of meta in the botlane and had died multiple times by just a few minutes. Obviously, this was frustrating. The game, as I saw it, was over. I came with a suggestion, I was met with reports and a chat restriction. Now I know that you guys are probably thinking that some soloq in a irrelevant island called Korea are clueless and inferior to western soloq, the quality of their soloq seems to be praised by western pro players. I am just, you know, confirming whether or not my suggestion in my game is insane or not.

What happened in my game instead was that I was forced to play it out, performing well btw if I am not mistaken I had the best stats on my team, and I believe the best in the game at that point where I wrote those messages, not that it matters tho we were outpreassured everywhere else and this was by the way the "the worst player of the team has more impact than the best player on the team" meta that was being complained about everywhere. Note that I wasnt threatening my team, tho a rioter told me that they could feel that way, which by the way doesnt matter as I cant count for my teammates feelings in the game as I am trying to perform well in the game. I shared my opinion about the game, I got chat restricted. You cant be aggresive, you cant be toxic, you cant int but you surely should be able to suggest opening if you think the game is lost.

I hope I was clear here, I am excited to see comments and points from you whether you are a player or a rioter. No flame in the comments [sg-shisa] no sarcasm [sg-lulu] no crying [sg-soraka]

I agree that asking once should be acceptable, and I'd frankly be surprised if it wasn't.

The problem here is that you didn't just ask -- you threatened to ruin the game if you didn't get your way:

"or do i int so that they can end faster"

That is not okay, as it forces your team to agree to your course of action or have you deliberately wreck the game. You can ask, but you cannot threaten or strongarm your team into giving up.

You need to get to the point.

Here's the thing that I think you're missing: You're trying to point the blame of your chat restriction on the supposed "sensitivity" of the players who reported you, rather than actually looking at and addressing the problems in your chat.

You've gotten four separate Riot responses, all telling you the same thing, and I'm going to spell it cleanly for you:

Opening a lane and intentionally feeding are against the rules, and as such suggestions or threats to that effect are not allowed.

If you want a game to end? Use the Surrender feature. It's there for a reason. But you are not allowed to suggest opening a lane or intentionally feeding, let alone actually do it. Opening lanes/feeding the enemy to hasten your defeat is against the rules and competitive integrity of the game.

This isn't a case of people being sensitive, it's a case of you breaking the rules and getting punished appropriately.

yeah you're literally crying about how you tried to hold your team hostage and it didn't work...
