I was being abused by my team for playing ap Nunu mid, something I have played many times before. This particular game I didn't do well, so in response my team decided to flame me endlessly in team and all chat. Here are some of my responses. Worthy of a chat restrict and strike 1 of 3 on my account? I don't think so.

In your recent games, you used in-game chat to create a poor experience for others. As a result, your account has received a number of restrictions. If your behavior does not improve, you will continue to receive more severe punishments eventually leading to a permanent ban.

Keep in mind that there’s no excuse to be rude or hurtful to others. You will find examples of your offending chat logs below:

Hmm .. to get punished chat restricted, there needs to be a consistent behavior of toxicity that is deemed toxic by the community, which I personally don't see any in this specific log.

There should be more Chat Logs within the client. If that doesn't tell you something, it may have been speech from pre/post game chat. Due to technology difficulties of lol.exe and pvp.net, punishment chat logs currently don't include pre/post game chat.

If you know that you did nothing wrong in those areas as well, send a support ticket as others have mentioned.

Usually there is something off but this seems like a full game and there is no toxicity here. I would send a support ticket in.

I should have stopped talking earlier but with all the abuse and accusations by my team, I figured I should justify myself in case someone reviewed what they were saying about me. Will do, thanks a lot!

You should have just muted the other players and just communicated with pings. That probably would have helped you out in not getting punished.

Oh and reporting them at the end game screen. Almost forgot that.

I see nothing wrong. The automated system might though? From what I understand -any- sort of negative comments or discussion results in punishment. Being group reported just sends you there faster in my experience. It seems unfair that any sort of comments besides positive ones are punished. If you defend yourself (in an non-cursing/hate speech sort of way) it shouldn't be punished (imo). If riot really wants this sort of chat, then they should implement pre-made responses to click and no chat input especially if every community member and rioter's response is "Mute and Report".

Wrong. Stop spreading misinformation please. Reds have said countless time now that any more than 1 report in a match isn't relevant to the system they use to track and punish toxicity.

Have a read through How reports work (via na.leagueoflegends.com) before spreading guesswork or assumptions and try to keep informed on the most recent Red posts on the subject, too, if you can.

Specifically about multiple reports you'll see that each report is matched and weighed against game metrics and the system's past experience to determine validity of the report. This means multiple reports of the same type will still only be paired with game metrics and deemed valid ONCE for the game session. After several valid pairs are made consistently across multiple games for one user the punishment and or escalation system begins its work, depending on frequency and severity of the reports. EG: Death threats are instant escalation but toxicity has multiple levels before reaching permanent suspensions (chat restrictions and light suspensions)

I don't think you actually have experience with the system. How riot "says" it works / How it works in "theory" / How it's "programmed" to work / How it "actually" works ; are all different things. When people threaten a group report, then you're immediately (right after the match) banned, with chat log from one singular match (the match you were just in) appears ; you begin to question the system. This isn't misinformation. Unless you want to comment on my specific post about my ban and explain to me how I was banned. The system doesn't account for people -actually trying to reform-. If someone was bad in the past and reforms yet is group reported for not doing what the majority wanted, then they receive punishment based on 'history'. If you're gonna link to some vague riot article (with honestly no useful information) without any first hand experience then I'm less inclined to give your post any merit in this discussion.

There isn't much else to talk about; the system is rigged against you and all facts to the contrary, especially from a first-party sources are blantant lies. You should open a support ticket with all your totally legit theories about how multiple reports in one game is the reason for your suspension and my dad, Phreak, should overturn it for you and also give you 10,000,000rp for wronging you.

I never said it was 'rigged against me' and just denouncing my experience as 'blatant lies' shows your hurried notion to strawman my argument. Your sarcasm seems a prominent display instead of data to back up your side of the discussion. Rightfully so when you have no basis for argument besides "riot told me, so it must be true".

Please reread my comment and you'll see that I said "all facts to the contrary, especially from a first-party sources are blantant lies" which is referring to the information from Riot being lies by my sarcastic (pretending to view your point of view) position. Also note the typos. I didn't really proofread that comment, but whatever.

If you won't believe the people that made the system, we have nothing further to talk about. Its not a straw-man to tell you ignoring first-party sources for the sake of your argument makes an undefendable position.

Wow, what a surprise. A nunu was involved. That seems to happen a lot in these types of posts. I wonder if nunu is what riot uses to troll it's players into being toxic.

Hmm. If all is what you say it is, I don't see any need for a chat restriction for this. But yeah, as someone already said, send in a support ticket

"report" is a flagged word.

You dug your own grave by responding to them when they threatened to report you.

(Not that it's deserved - but that's how the machine does it. You say flagged words you get banned.)
