Report Report Report

I've been seeing this a lot recently. Reporting has been the common and usual way to deal with trolls. "Reported!" or "I'm reporting you" would've done the trick some time ago, but recently it seems like no one even cares since they think they won't get banned, which usually holds true. I don't believe it is only I, who has been receiving warnings saying I've recently been reported. Fine, I can deal with a couple reports, and I know I was negative to other players when I actually was; although I'm usually positive. I feel like reporting has become kind of redundant, the trolls continue to troll, and the positive players still get reported. Just yesterday. I played a game as Master Yi, a champ considered "easy" by many, and I half agree. His mechanics are fairly simple to learn, but decision making will separate the good Yis and the bad ones (Some will disagree). Here's my real problem: In this game, I barely talked. I said a couple things like, "Nice job guys" or "gj" and at the end of the game, "gg wp." I even ended up adding a friend from that game afterwards. But one player on their team, I forgot who, was being extremely toxic, especially to the fact that I picked a "No skill champ" and he/she wouldn't stop flaming. I can deal with these people, knowing they're just salty/tilted or having a bad day. I carried the game 17/7 and ended happy :). Enemies? Not so much. I got reported for hate speech, harassment, and negative attitude. I said NOTHING negative the ENTIRE game. I'm not salty at all, just wanted to point out the fact that this has been happening more frequently. To sum up, I've been finding many teammates/enemies that report just because they lost the game... I'd like to know if this has been happening to others. Good luck on the Rift!
