Suspended for 14 days for verbal, does Riot bother reading other peoples chats in game?

I had got a little out of hand. Nothing like what people are saying about others me autistic or have down syndrome like I have heard thousands of times. Which never led to a suspension or full reporting. Then other saying you're fat as F**k or you probably are a low life... blah blah blah. Anyways posting this to see if there are any ways to be unbanned if the in game chat can be read. First off my top lane started the game off great 5/1/0 then replied to me that I am garbage cause the other lanes needed way more help and I wasn't coming top. When I say he said that he literally was calling the whole team garbage in different sections of the match. Stated of we can lose all he wants is a positive score. Which that meant he didn't leave his lane till our inhibitor was gone. Then my adc which I made a comment to said that he was started to feed on purpose cause he didn't care. Also that our mid was saying we didn't deserve to win that we were just wasting our time and just turrent dove since lvl 4 which would just give them free kills. What I am stating is this is ridiculous, okay yes I got verbal so put me on a super long chat ban or something. But how are you going to suspend me cause I have 2 lanes state they were purposely trying to make us lose and then a top lane that refuses to use team work. This game just goes by how many reports you get, it has to because I literally have people go afk or just flat out feed on purpose and never get penalized for it. Any suggestions? Other then the one I am working on which is to stop being so verbal, I think I am just going to mute everyone until I start to realize flaming doesn't do any good. Not going to lie though I only do it when they state they don't care.

It doesn't matter why someone robbed a grocery store, it's still against the law, right? Similarly, it doesn't matter why you flamed your team. It's still against the rules.

You're responsible for your own chat, what others say does not influence the severity, or decide whether you will be punished or not. What happens to others is none of your buisiness. Just report others who are toxic, and don't be toxic yourself.

nope. Riot doesn't care about context.

Only what you say matters, as you have control over own fingers & enter key. You can choose harsh / offensive words, you can choose to ignore, you can choose to polite words.

But you chose words that will get you punished, so viola. Deal with the consequences.

Also, I only read your first two lines + title. That block of text OP and I'm not reading through that.

The severity of the punishment is not based on severity of offense. It is a 4 strike system, where severity of the punishment is based on how many strikes you have accrued:

1st strike - 10 game chat ban 2nd strike - 25 game chat ban 3rd strike - 14 day full ban 4th strike - perma

There is an exception for hate speech, racial slurs, or extreme cases of toxicity, that will result in skipping and going straight to 3rd or 4th strike.

Outside of hate speech or non verbal trolling, you got a 14 day ban because you continued behavior that you were warned twice before to stop.

A bit of warning: The transition from 14 day to perma, is more sensitive than the other tiers of punishment. If you don't want to lose your account you need to remove toxicity from your matches entirely for at least 3 months. Thats just to get your standing back down to 2nd strike. You need 3 months of good behavior per strike to completely clean the slate for your account.

Lyte's system is an obvious failure. You, like most players, are complaining about players' bad behaviors, and not their words. The system is only tuned to punish the latter, and thereby only fuels the frustration that most players feel. This "solution" is, in fact, only contributing to the sentiment that causes so-called 'toxic' behavior in the first place.

My honest advice is, when someone like your top laner starts smarting off, say nothing, go to their lane, and stand under their opponent's tower. It's surprisingly cathartic, and until Riot implements an actual system to police bad behavior (as opposed to words), you won't ever be penalized for it.

Blah blah blah No one gives a shit. What other people do is irrelevant. You are only responsible for your own behavior.

If the other players in your game were acting up in chat, then they can be punished too. But that doesn't excuse your own behavior in any way.
