Good job riot, you just 14 day suspended my 22nd account, and permabanned all my others. Keep banning players for flaming in a competitive game.

I hate the whole entire 'thats toxic' mantra every single NA solo q player adapts like they cant handle a single word directed towards them. I would love to rip into all of my teammates even if they did nothing and really give them the worst experience possible, and I should be allowed to.

Whatever, I'll just make another account and do the same thing again. downvote this post, doesn't change my outlook

Make the game a paid. If people had to pay for the game they wouldn't troll so much because their accounts would have cost them actual money, and you could ban people by credit card number and name.

I dont believe you. And that just makes you sound like you are wasting your money. And by that logic you are paying Riot to ban your accounts. If it was a monthly paid service it would be easier to track and ban individual users, and there would be a greater incentive to keep one's account.

If that didn't stop toxicity in FF14, WoW, TF2 (when it was paid to play) Xbox Live, and the list goes on, why would that prevent it here?

Because they didn't ban people's accounts by credit card number and name, that's why.

But yeah, when you have a bunch of kiddos whose parents are paying for it, or who just dont care about having money in general yet, it makes its tough.

Yes, if they are showing that they are toxic beyond reform like this guy. A sharp decrease in toxicity and trolls would likely attract and keep new players which Riot desperately needs. But your assertion that it wouldn't work isn't really accurate. You cant just get a new credit card.

One problem with that mindset, most people who play this game aren't toxic, and punishing the extreme minority for the sake of possibly fixing someone (even though it wouldn't work) wouldn't attract new players. If anything, it would keep new players away because they wouldn't want to pay to play a game when there are so many other free to play games on the market.

I completely disagree.

Part of the charm of this game is that you can easily get into, for free. League wouldn't be nearly as big as it is, if it were paid.

And I can say that because when you look at all the other free to play titles to have come out, they all have MUCH bigger playerbases than their paid counterparts.

Just look at Fortnite. Even if you don't like it, it's indeniably one of the biggest games around. Even beats out games like FIFA.

You're underestimating how much more accesible free-to-play makes the game, and overestimating how much toxicity impacts it.

i really wish that were true, but people are jerls no matter wat. just look at nonsense like overwatch and wow. people still troll and are toxic and still get banned.

I was actually asking that "MF is my Waifu" dude. I remember being in a game with him last Season on one of my smurfs. He raged at top/mid for not helping him as he was getting stomped by a botlane Zed. Since I don't particularly care about that account, I called him a few things and got banned for two weeks. It was just memorable because right after I got the banned message, I got an instant feedback one too.

If you feel the need to do that in places that allow it, go right ahead. Riot has made it clear that they don't want toxicity on their platform. Find a new game or change your attitude.

Alternatively, you can play with a 5 man premade who won't report you, but even then that's still breaking Riot's ruleset.

Not going to get into the whole debate of "You shouldn't do this because it's not right, constructive, etc." because it's pretty obvious you don't care, and that's really unfortunate.

The system is entirely automated, you're not wasting anyone's time but your own. Have fun with whatever you choose to do, man.

While I can understand the definition of toxic/abusive behavior is vague and that's not cool, if you already lost an account why go through the bother of making more accounts with the sole intent of literally spreading the mental version of HIV? Do you know that negative breeds negative, hurt fosters hurt? If this game is affecting you this much, I hope you decide to take a break, for your sake man.

Onto the topic however- what is the point of bringing toxic attitudes into the game at all? What does it achieve?

There have been so many times that I am utterly AMAZED at the lack of skill level in high elo master and grandmaster games. To the point where any sane human being would be unable to flame 100+ games unless they literally did not type anything.

These players are a bigger plague than any toxic thing I have ever said across any games. My first account, I had for over 2 years, then when it got permabanned, why would that suddenly encourage me to become a better person?

I kept making more and more accounts, because I literally do not care at this point, and let everything I want to say be released immediately instead of self tilting myself to another dimension by not typing and potentially breaking everything around me. 22 accounts happened like nothing, I can barely even make it to 30 before I get permabanned now to play in high elo.

I DONT believe that you have ever been in high elo and therefore have no vantage point to criticize.

That only worked because Tyler streamed and was a big name. You can't exactly ID ban a nobody that has no way to be easily identified as the same person.

We IP banned people and phone number banned people and CC banned people and address banned people.

And that was like 10 years ago.

ID bans aren't the same as IP bans, and being riot doesn't require a CC, phone number, or address to make an account, that wouldn't work either. IP bans are problematic for multiple users that could be under the same IP, and also incredibly easy to get around.

Tyler1 still had a lot of accounts after his ID ban. He got them banned as soon as riot knew he was the account holder, but that didn't stop him from making more.

IP addresses can be changed within a matter of minutes. VPNs also exist.

Making a League account doesn't require photo ID, a phone number, an important email (meaning you can just make a throwaway email address), or a home/physical address.

There is literally no way to IP/ID ban a random person. The only reason it works on notable personalities is because of their ability to be easily recognized.

You need to use your iPin to make an account in Korea. It's not exactly a SSN, but it does make it significantly harder to make multiple accounts.
