I know many people have been talking about being wrongfully banned, but I wanted to talk about mine.

Basically, I was caught inside of the banwave and I've been trying to talk to support, but the person who's dealing with my ticket isn't listening to what I'm saying, even after showing proof and I can't ever find the live chat active for account bans.

A few months ago, I had my account hijacked and this person played ranked and even cheated on my account for the week or two that he had my account.

After talking with support, the Riot employee helped me get my account back and all was fine, until I got permabanned for cheating a few weeks later.

I got that fixed with another employee on live chat and everything was fine.

The issue is that the hijacker had played ranked on my account and gotten my account to Silver. I didn't think much of it, because I didn't think that this hijacker would haunt me today, getting my account locked away for a third time, this time being because of MMRBoosting.

The issue is that I really don't care about this rank and I really wouldn't mind if they had revoked the ranking, rewards, everything that happened during the week or two that the hijacker had my account. I just hate knowing that this leaves a mark on my profile, knowing that if something happened again and I got banned for MMRBoosting for any other reason, I'd score a permaban. And as an extra burn, I lose all of my Honour rankings and get locked to Honour 0.

Isn't there anything I can do or am I screwed since Riot support isn't being helpful or won't explain why having a hijacker means that I'm doomed for a ban even if I couldn't have changed a thing?

Youre screwed because Riot has an account security system from 1997 and punishes their players for it instead of reinvesting in their game for once and implementing two factor. Fun fact: startups with less than a tenth of Riots capital can implement two factor.

It almost sounds like a case of getting repeatedly banned by different people for the same incident, but I can't imagine there isn't a mark on your account somewhere explaining the whole thing and exempting it from being punished for the same incident they'd already resolved multiple times. But, if there isn't, it really does sound like it's just being picked up by the system repeatedly and you keep having to get it undone. I'd imagine if you got it fixed the times before you'd be able to again, especially maybe if you spoke to the Rioter that had handled one of the previous incidents, if at all possible.

So all live chat did was let me know that apparently whatever ticked off the 'he's being MMRBoosted' thing was apparently not a part of the hijack? The Riot employee was super vague and really wasn't helpful at all, all they gave me were canned responses and threats to close the chat.

He wouldn't even tell me if there really was a third person on my account, even if this wouldn't give any information about the MMRBoosting methods they use or whatever.

I don't know what to do anymore to try and get this ban appealed.

Edit: also, the only person I've come in contact is the same Riot employee, so that probably isn't helping with getting another employee's point of view or help on this situation

Got to say this seems a very odd thread, I'm a bit confused is there further info you haven't thought to add ? I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm going to try to keep an eye on this thread.

I don't have a clue. All I could think would be for you to submit another ticket asking to talk to someone you'd spoken to before. Or just keep trying I guess. Would kind of suck if it keeps happening though.

An update on this situation: a new Riot employee looked at my situation and unbanned me!

I'm really glad this got resolved and that it was all a mistake.
