Got banned because I didn't buy a sighstone

I was playing a game when I got autofilled to support. Obviously, I didn't play support so I asked to switch and I got a little annoying, so I stopped. I decided to go someone I was good at, Xerath, since he isn't a troll pick, like Yasuo or Zed support, and we also had no AP. In the game, the Vi got mad because I didn't buy a sightstone and I said "I don't want to buy one" because a health item on Xerath does not seem very good. I flamed her a little bit by saying "ur bitching" and "ur so salty" but I really do not think someone should deserve a perma ban for just saying some thing very small like this, and later on in the game we got along a little bit. I think I should be unbanned.

What a misleading topic....

So you know you didn't get banned for not buying a sightstone, but you got banned for "flamed her a little bit".

Would you post all your unedited chat logs so we can discuss if it's justified in a more meaningful way?

I sincerely doubt Riot sent you a reform card stating "You were banned because you didn't buy a sightstone", so how about we see those chat logs?

if you go support one item you buy, no matter the champion, is a sightstone. that plus you deliberately gave your teammates a hard time just because you got autofilled to support. your ban was completely deserved.

If you don't want to buy sightstone at least use the regular free wards and buy spellthief's edge (you don't even have to upgrade it) so you get gold without stealing cs, it gives you mana regen, damage and gold by poking the enemy and by standing near the adc while he is farming (wich is so good for the money that riot had to put the "stops working if you last hit a minion" passive to it to stop mid laners from buying it). Then you can go dark seal so you get ap with assists or kills, and even if you want to get all the kills in bot lane, you can help the adc survive by poking or killing the enemy or by stunning or rooting the enemies (so your adc is more likely to not even care if you get all the kills and not getting tilted, so there's no 1v2): there's no need to be a dick to go full damage as a suport.

Or even better: dodge the match if you got a role you don't like instead of flamming and loosing everyone's time incluiding yours. Isn't it better to wait 10 or 15 minutes for a role you want than having a match for around half an hour in an undesired role?

Vi was in the wrong for flaming you, and you were in the wrong for both flaming her and not buying a sightstone as a support. It can upgrade into an item with AP. For the most part so long as you go down bot lane, don't take farm, try to keep your ADC alive, and buy a sightstone people don't care if you're not a support player.

But your punishment was about the flame, not sightstone.

You got banned because you deserved it. Not because of your choice of items or champion. You were toxic, you asked for a report, and you got punished. So no, you should not be unbanned.

This is, if not, one of the most selfish reasons for not buying Sightstone I've ever read. You're buying it for team vision, which is worth a lot more than just 150+ HP.
