I like playing Teemo. People hate having Teemos on their team. People troll and report for someone on their team picking Teemo. I literally just picked Teemo, went top lane vs. Nasus, and my Volibear jungle followed me to top lane and verbal abused me all game (along with the rest of my team bashing me). He level 1 tower dove the enemy Nasus at full hp to give first blood, and spent the entirety of the game following me around the map to take my cs while verbally bashing me.

I was chat restricted, so I couldn't defend myself while he told the other team constantly to report me.

After the match, I got a 14-day suspension.

If playing Teemo is a bannable offense, remove him from the game.

Did you get chat logs for the match? It usually isn't one match that punishes you but multiple.

This is the entire chat log associated with my suspension. One game. Not multiple chat logs, just this one:

Context: I picked Teemo for bot lane, so in champ select everyone began bashing me and the support player picked Varus saying he was going ADC. So I decided I would top vs. Nasus rather than bicker with Varus over ADC. The top laner went mid and the mid laner (Annie) went to support, but Volibear decided instead of jungling to follow me about the map for 20+ min and troll. Ultimately we lose, they report me, and I get a 14-day suspension because I like playing Teemo ADC. By the way---if you type "marksman" in the champion filter in champ select, Teemo is listed along with all of the other ADCs.

Check your email. The in-client chat reform card only includes one game, while email usually includes ~3

There is no e-mail, still. Also since the chat restriction started like 2 games before, I don't think those games should also be eligible to a suspension just because I get reported on the following game.

Playing Teemo isn't bannable, it's morons like those people you had on your team that at this point, should be considered racist for picking such a yordle.

Shame being racist over a fictional character doesn't work as a ban reason.

Well, I'm thinking it must be because I'm very definitely suspended for it. (Not the first time I've had Tribunal action because teammates ganged up on the "Report Teemo" bandwagon, either.)

Talk to Riot then, they can't ban you for playing Teemo, unless you tried to respond or flame anyone. Or feed as well.

Send a support ticket and they might lift your ban if the evidence isn't against you.

I'd hate to see a fellow Teemo player suffer at the hands of the sinfull...

No, I was not intentionally feeding. I had a player following me preventing me from being viable, and then walking away if I was attacked. I'm talking if I took 2 steps in a bush, Volibear took 2 steps in the same bush. If I stood still for 15s, he did the same. If I went back, the moment my back animation started he did the same.

Might have caused issues. Unfortunately, if you want to prove a flaw in this system, you have to pretty much be a saint.

"report you" -> in response to: "report teemo"

"i'm not going top anymore" -> in response to Volibear intentionally feeding and taking all my farm. Not like a failed gank. Like he started the game by walking under the turret and attacking Nasus, and then came back to lane and followed me for the next 20 minutes taking as much farm as I could and otherwise trolling any way he could. By the time I decided I wasn't going top anymore Nasus was already 2-3 levels ahead and had an enormous CS lead.

"i don't mind you getting banned" -> if me pointing out that he should be banned for his actions is bannable in itself, then this system is absolutely stupid.

Picking a champ doesn't violate with the rules listed in the summoners code. I'm very certain it isn't.

I'd also look at your pre / post game chats for clues of why you were punished.

My pre-game chat told someone they were toxic and that I was playing Teemo. I don't have a log, but I'm not the kind of person that sits there name-calling, etc. My post-game chat said basically what I said here in a shorter version to try to plea to the other team, but they reported and bounced before I got it in. I was chat-restricted so all they heard all game was my team saying "report Teemo."

My experience suggests otherwise. Plus, I was suspended within minutes of the end of the game which also suggests there was no actual review of the game, or else someone just said "oh bunch of reports -> suspend"

it is an automated system, but the system can reivew the logs through key word scans. Which is why it can send out punishments within minutes of a game ending.

All a report does is to flag the system for toxicity, if there wasn't any toxicity, then the report gets thrown out. If there was, it will build towards your case.

Keep in mind that Riot punishes based on consistency x severity. So being validly report during your chat restriction just increases the "consistency" and makes the system deem you to be highly toxic consistently, thus punishing you in less games required.

Also to note, your next punishment is a permaban. Seeing how you got 14-day banned, any little bit of toxicity (even the ones such as your logs that you currently posted) will get you permabanned.

You aren't banned for picking X champion, you're banned for consistently creating negative environments across multiple games. From the Tribunal FAQ:

Can I be banned for not playing the meta? Players are not banned by the Tribunal for not playing the meta; they are banned for consistently creating negative experiences for others.

We have data suggesting that reviewers of Tribunal cases are very thoughtful and accurate in their verdicts, so if you were reported for not playing the meta but were being a positive player, you can expect to be judged fairly.

In general, players should feel empowered to play what they want and to try new strategies; however, this does not give you a license to be disrespectful or rude to your fellow gamers.

Can I be banned for playing an unpopular champion? No, the Tribunal does not ban players for playing unpopular champions. You should feel empowered to play any champion you like, any way you like as long as you are creating a positive experience for everyone in the game.

You got a 2-week ban, which means that you have a history of consistently negative behavior. This is your last chance. If you still want to play the champs that you enjoy then do so without creating negative environments for your teammates and mute and report anyone who refuses to stop acting up (remember though that retaliation/"they started it" isn't a valid excuse to start acting up yourself).

Please explain how I started acting up. I did not intentionally feed or verbally harass anyone. I gave up on top lane because another player was intentionally ruining it and it was a lost cause.

In this particular set of chat logs the only thing I see wrong is you calling for reports, which is considered harassment. However, under normal circumstances you are not punished for just one game, but rather for multiple games instead. Reform Cards only show chat logs from 1-3 of your most recent games. This set of chat logs is not super bad, but you didn't get punished just for them.
