I got my first chat restriction on May 27th. It's been a little over a week and my honor finally unlocked. Since it's summer and I have time, I played about 77 games (norms + arams) in a week.
For those with chat restriction experience, how long did it take you to unlock your honor and reach honor level 2?
Depends!!
Honorable progress largely depends on your own behavior. If you get validly reported, it will put you honors progress to a screeching halt.
I've seen people get it back in as little as 3 weeks to people whom are still struggling with it after 9 months.
Good luck, you'll be lucky to get it within a year. Any sort of reports against your account negatively effects progress whether it be a valid or invalid. It's not only # of games but also time so you can't just blitz 300 games in a month and suddenly you're honor 2.
Unlocking honor is easy, reaching honor 2 is much harder as you'll be (from my experience) matched with similar honor folks which makes the reforming process just that much harder.
The last thing you want is to get another punishment (kills a level and any progress you have to the next one) so I suggest deleting your chat box from the game (a quick google search will tell you how to). Comms in game arn't worth it at this point, the ping system is enough for basic information and chat is just a toxic pit waiting for you to say something.
