The System Needs Some Work...Again.

So basically, as everyone does when punished, I'm going to sit here and cry about it. After completing a super toxic game and logging off for the night, (after making reports of my own of course) I log back in today to see I've received a 10 game chat restriction. Okay, not THAT big of a deal, we've all been there. Here's the problem, the most offensive thing I said on the chat logs provided was "Maybe you should learn to lane yourself before giving me shit." The person this was in reference to, flamed literally the entire team, intentionally fed, ADMITTED to intentionally feeding, ADMITTED to trolling, was calling everyone and their mother retarded, basically everything he could do to someone except tell them to kill themselves. Now, when you make a report on someone and they get punished, you get a notification saying something along the lines of "someone you recently reported got punished blah blah thanks for helping make league a better place." I received no such notification, so I am only going to assume that this guy got off scot-free, yet I am punished for giving him a few smart remarks back. This brings me to the question, what the heck is the process for these bans? Is it still an automated system? Does Riot have a team that monitors report logs and actually picks people out? Whatever the process is, it clearly needs to be revamped. I'm not saying that I probably didn't deserve my restriction, because these days it seems you can get banned for even so much as telling someone to "stfu" but come on now let's be a little real here.

Why not post your entire chat logs here if you think your punishment is unwarranted?

So every time the system receives a report, it gives you a toxicity score (0= no toxicity) and is added to your cummulated toxicity score. If a person's toxicity score passes a certain threshold, they will get punished.

Your game put you over the toxicity threshold thus you were punished. For the other person, their cumulative toxicity score didn't pass the threshold, so they weren't punish that game. It doesn't mean they won't get punished down the road, and your report will certainly contribute to their punishment.

This is a major flaw with the punishment system, they don't give a shit about context.

No matter how many times we say that its complete bullshit they won't change their stance on it

However, thank you to the couple people who actually commented something worthwhile, not just toxicity lol

It should be noted that the notifications are notorious unreliable, and, even at their MOST reliable, only go out to one person. If multiple people reported him in that game it's entirely possible someone else got the alert even if the notification DID send.

You said more than that. So why don't you put the bullshit aside, and post your chat-log? Then we'll show you what you really did wrong.

It appears a few of you didn't read the post. I didn't say mine was unwarranted, I merely asked why he seemingly did NOT receive punishment, but I did. I said my share, but nothing nearly as bad as what the other party said.
