Player bans in ranked

In the end game screen, you have the ability to report players for either good or bad behavior. I feel it would be a great ideal in where there is an option in the negative report section to where there are ranked play specific reports. Items like "intentional feeding" are there already. but maybe add in something like "trolling" and/or "uncooperative with team". The strategy of the game has changed a bit since patch 5.21 and more heavily rely's on team play vs individual. It seems a lot of players are not progressing as much as they could due to being paired up with teammates that don't help the team. With the additional reporting choices, they can contribute in two ways.

  1. Create a sub category or reporting for ranked play in which we can target players who are negatively affecting other players ability to climb the ranks.
  2. Create a condition for banning a player from ranked game-play easier.

Ideally this works in the following way; The more ranked specific choices would require less reports to initiate a ban to the player, but the player would only be banned from ranked play, but not normal play. I feel this would serve to let those players who are not being team players learn the lesson that they need to be team players in order for the privilege to play ranked games. If they want to troll around, they can do it in normal's where its not negatively affecting players as much. And they don't get so pissed off that they got banned from the game in total. Of course other report items like "verbal abuse" and such should present any player from a full game ban, cause well that't just wrong.

On a side note, there should be a report, that you can do in which you never get paired with a specific player ever again, but that's probably another discussion. :)

uncooperative player would punish players who dont use chat. or reforming players who are forced to not type because they dont know what will get them banned and what wont

I've met a number of players who have accused me or others of being uncooperative with the "team" when it was merely me not doing what that person demanded.

"I said to pick leona. Being uncooperative with the team is a pretty bad way to start the game, don't you think?"

"Well 1: you gave a command/order, which I disagreed with because of xyz and thus did not obey. 2: You are one person. One person is not 'the team.'"

That is just one example among many of how "being uncooperative with the team" has been applied on a number of occasions. I can't count how many times disobedience to the directives of one narcissist has been followed with them fuming about the other person being "uncooperative" with "the team." This is such a vague category, especially in non-pro play where individual players have their own opinions about what strategies ought to be used to win a game. If two players disagree, or if two players think one way, two players think another and they all just don't quite agree .... who, exactly, is the "uncooperative" one? How the heck is this reportable?

No, imo this category would be too vague, too broad and too abused by too many egos. Go make a team of people who you are compatible with and who play with the level of skill and map awareness that you are satisfied with.

i completely agree with this, i just got out of a game where my friend was sitting on Akali and our support banned her, when we asked why she didnt say anything, so we just assumed she was going to be a troll, and ironicaly she was, she started Bming our entire team and stole kills from our ADC and kept telling the other team to report me and friend because we wouldnt stop talking, if this was a thing im positive she wouldve gotten punished

What you're talking about sounds a lot like the "unsportsmanlike" report. Especially the person who was talking about the soraka who banned the person's champ and then started calling for false reports, etc. That sort of thing is troll/unsportsmanlike conduct.

I'm totally for not being paired again with someone I've just reported though. I'm not someone who enjoys confrontational stuff, and to be paired with someone I just had a stressful game with is a bit of a troll by the game itself. lol

But you're a troll... so how do we fix this?
