What to do when reported for lack of skill ?

I admit I was bit toxic AFTER I was CONSTANTLY being blamed for losing the game, bot lane consists of two people and mid lane (3 reports against 1 person) was mad they were losing and telling me to never use "Lee Sin" again and the enemy team likely reported as well for fun, and were instigating the whole thing, "well why is your whole team blaming you if your not bad at jg" "pick an easier jg" like come on ? I was going to get reported regardless for what I said, just out of anger so what am supposed to do to counter players who automatically throw the blame on the jg for not magically turning the game around when they feed the enemy jg and allow him to steal camps from me robbing me of experience making me weaker decreasing my chances of winning team fights ? Honestly why is it ok for a group of people use toxic language against ONE player and they all report him, but if I report them all obviously the majority wins ? Why doesn't RIOT take time to review chat logs from BOTH parties, instead of siding with just MAJORITY. So with this system and logic if I queue up with 3 other people and all 4 of us report one person they'll automatically be punished because surely NO ONE (sarcasm) would make a false report.

Ok, you clearly have no idea how this system works.

Punish system in this game completely discards any additional reports made in same match for same person. So it doesn't matter if you get 1 or 9 reports, nothing will change.

The way it works, reporting someone flags them to be reviewed. After system reviews that person, if it finds nothing toxic, report is discarded. If it does find something toxic, it adds that match to the list of matches in which you were toxic. Once you accumulate enough toxic matches, you get punished.

That is why it is important NOT TO flame at people who flame at you. System does not care who started or why you flame.

Ok, that makes perfect sense as long as you can't be bullied by large parties. But, it is quite annoying when it highlights perfectly fine language, that's what makes me assume the report actions are 100% computer initiated.

They are. Rioters themselves only review logs if person uses Riot support, contacts Riot employees and asks them to review their ban.

When you are reported, it's automated system that reviews your logs from the match you were reported in. It's not 100% correct way of explaining it, but the way you can look at that program, is that it's a simple AI that knows what phrases and words are considered toxic, like "noob", "kid", "feeders". It can also see those words even if you try to hide them with "no ob" or "f@ck you".

It's actually very efficient at what it does, but as I said, it doesn't understand context. So if someone flames you, muted and report. Do not try to flame back.

Ok, I'm looking at what I said and I assumed I said something toxic because they were annoying at the time, however all I said was someone fed instead of me, and answering a question as to "why is the whole team blaming you" I said cause they are "bad" is bad the trigger word ? Saying someone fed when they implied you did is toxic ? Because the new custom announcer uses that term, I didn't say anything rude at all so I am actually confused.

Actually, yes. Telling someone they are bad or that they are feeding is considered toxic. Do not worry tho, if you are not toxic in general, getting "legitimate" report once in a while shouldn't hurt your account. As was said before, just don't been consistently toxic. System accounts for us being human and raging once in 10 games or so. BTW, 10 games number is just from my head, not actual official number.

So it's all fun and games when the **announcer **mentions feeding, but if I do it's a chat restriction ok noted. Basically just don't even use the chat cause with this system I can say "please don't over extend" and then BOOM toxic behavior because I was "implying he was bad. "

No, you won't get punished for saying "pls don't over extend", that's for sure. You will only get punished if you are toxic.

Those are fine, they are considered competitive bm. The reason why "ez" is reportable, is because it's very mean spirited. You don't just joke, you gloat.

I'm actually glad you used that term "competitive bm" cause with competitive games, it's a difference between bragging and making someone feel silly for messing up. Otherwise it wouldn't be a fun game.

I NOW understand it doesn't matter if players provoke you or instigate a situation you are just supposed to deal with it and report them at the end of the game while you are being harassed all while still trying to communicate with your team to make a comeback. Like they totally ignore encouraging words, "guys we can still win" and they reply "shut up you didn't gank bot" and telling me how to play jg role and just straight up teasing. How would I get access to the **FULL **chat log.

You don't get access to the full chatlogs.

Chatlogs are supposed to show you examples of YOUR unacceptable behavior. If it showed the full thing, you'll just end up blaming other people and not focus on your own toxicity.

I'll give you a few common examples of minor toxicity:

asking/threatening for reports
claiming they are done and threatens to afk
calling others noob / kid
KDA / rank shaming

But seeing how you left out game1 in your chatlogs, I'm guessing you have a habit of asking for reports and then had a super toxic game where you told someone to harm themselves, and that accelerated your punishment.

Yes, mute them if they are toxic, mute pings if they are using it to harass you (yes, you can report ping spamming as harassment, just make sure you make a note of it). You are here to play a game of League of Legends, not a game of Who Is More Toxic.

Also, try using discussion view instead of chronological view. It's so dam hard to follow your posts. You can see that option in the just below the text box of your original post.

That's actually a misconception on how the system works. It doesn't punish based on number of votes but rather based on consistency x severity. To put it into terms that are easier understood;

When the system receives a report, it will get the reported player's game for toxicity.
The system will assign a score based on its findings (no toxicity = 0pts)
The points will be accumulated onto the existing player's toxicity points
If the player passes 100 pts, they will get punished.

Unless you were super toxic in that game, your punishment is likely caused by an accumulation of games with minor toxicity.

That said, don't worry about people reporting you for nothing. The system has the capability to filter out false reports. Just don't give it a reason to make your reports valid.

Also, don't go asking others to report others. It typically is used as a harassment tool to threaten others to get them punished, and it will make the other people's report valid.

It's crazy how I can the most honors 4 games in a row then I get harassed to death in one game and I'm not even allowed to respond to my teammates in future games hindering me from communicating, what is the command for muting a specific player and mute all ? So in future games I could report someone for saying ez ? What about people who use "?" to tilt you after they outplayed you is that worthy of report, also I was never informed how to mute individual players and all players. Is there a link that provides all "keywords" that are deemed toxic. Because honestly "ez" is teasing, but not necessarily rude.

Most times honor isn't about being honorable but having the best kda/carrying the game, if we're being honest. You could be quite toxic an people would still honor you if you carried because it's like a reflex response. You want to praise someone when they did good. That's what I find kinda flawed about the honor system. People don't really use it as intended. I deal with toxic people daily. I'm sure I've been reported before, but honestly, you just can't let them get to you (I've never been banned, knock on wood). If they do get to you, mute them. You can mute pings, chat, and emotes so literally the only thing they could do at that point would be to steal your farm/int your lane, which they can 100% be punished for. But at least you won't get punished. Just keep calm in these situations and play your game. Stress levels get high in this game, so having a player harass you sucks. Don't let them. c:

I get honored because I play jg and I use pings to target towers and dragons, etc. All the plays I make end up in great results when I play Vi. But today I wanted to use a champ more reliant on skill shots and enabled me to do more "flashy plays" and because I did poorly or didn't snowball early enough I was counter jg by Warwick and then the blame began on me. I am always friendly, but I have unfortunately fed into negative players energy when I could ignore them. It started as me defending myself, but even still players should be punished for provoking you. Still haven't been told how to mute players, as I would like to know prior to playing any future games.

Players are absolutely punished for provoking you as well. Negative attitude is reportable as well as arguing in game. Anything that isn't conducive to a positive environment is generally frowned upon. Making suggestions like "You should play safer and farm" are not considered punishable but "stop feeding" is. It's all about the way you say things that make it toxic or not. Taking red/blue buff is considered griefing, if it is intentional. Albeit, harder to detect, it can still be reported and will start a review process. I always leave descriptions of what said person did in my reports if they did something that wasn't explicitly in chat. Just like inting. It's not something that is easy to detect, but people are certainly punished for it.

Thank you, actually want to thank everyone it shows me some people care to inform me the information I wanted to know. I was just so used to players teasing saying EZ and such when I first started league I had no idea they were actually being held responsible for their actions. This definitely gives me a new and more positive attitude towards LoL, I'll make the effort to make sure this doesn't happen again with the mute button being available that will prevent majority of my issues, but griefing like you said harder to detect. Very well then, I hope to meet players as cooperative and awesome as you all. I probably will just won't be able to talk to them for a bit :D

Well, luckily the chat restriction is only for a few games and you're still able to talk in game, just not as much. Regardless, I wish you the best of luck in future games and above all else, have fun with it. People will try to ruin it for you, but don't let them. Like I honestly was trying to give our team hope telling them the game wasn't over and to Defend ? I had good intentions, and I get honored nearly every game, but it only takes a few reports to RUIN my reputation as a friendly player.

OK, so, 1 thing I want to notice here. Because 1 report does as much as 9, Riot concluded that calling for reports "report that player", is considered toxic.

As for communicating, it's actually simple. Keep your communication to suggestions, instead of explaining players what they did wrong.

All I'm saying is why ignore all the words of encouragement ? And I only asked for my teammates to report another toxic player because I was under the impression it was about the number of reports rather than the meter system that was explained. I will keep this in mind for future games, however I have yet been informed how to mute players.

Mute players by pressing tab in game and you will see three icons that look like a chat icon, a face icon, and an exclamation mark. Click the chat icon to mute them in chat, click the face icon to mute their emotes, and click the exclamation icon to mute their pings.

Rip. Even if you had "good intentions" this is a mildly toxic game. You requested multiple times that everyone report someone which is considered griefing. One report is all it takes to flag an account, FYI. Multiple reports never do anything else. The account is only flagged one time for that one game. So requesting reports is 100% just griefing. The main thing to remember here is that you aren't punished for just this game. It was just this game that caused you to get punished. Look at it this way, basically you have a toxicity meter. That toxicity meter fills up each time you have a toxic game and get reported for it. Different levels of toxicity fill up the meter faster while others fill it up slower. This is just the game that filled it up the rest of the way. Now this is just theoretical. There isn't REALLY a meter, but you get my meaning. It's an escalation based system. As long as you stop being toxic, eventually the meter will go down and erase completely after a certain period of time.
