Just played game with my friends. We were 4 premades, and during loading screen I noticed that 4 enemy premades has group tag named ''k%s23'' and just as the game started, I instantly mentioned how stupid it is that other people getting banned for saying k...s, meanwhile there are enemy premade team, which has that acronym in their group/clan tag. Basically they are telling every single person they play with/against to kill themselves, without getting punished (and most funny thing, that they won't even get punished for using that in their clan tag, most likely just get politely asked to change it). And most funny thing, looks like after the game the angry yasuo main, who ragequit during the game, reported me with holy trinity of checks (feeding, verbal abuse, negative attitude), triggering the ban system, which instantly found ''kys'' and just took it out of any context, and just instantly banned me for two weeks.

This is beyond stupidity. Now I am wrongfully banned and this system just took away my gaming plans for this evening, how nice riot.

  1. There is a report option for inappropriate name in game and this can also be used for club tags.

  2. If you were a 5 man premade, you may have a case to get this removed if your entire team agrees you should not have been punished for it, and this whole interaction was in team chat, not all chat. If you were not, then it is likely that the 5th random person reported you, and this isn't really an invalid punishment as the discussion of behavior or behavioral systems in game is both off topic and brings team morale down. If you post your chat logs so we can see everything you said, we may be able to advise you better on if there's a chance it gets removed. From what you describe, I think it's probably 50/50 for being removed.. but it all depends on everything you said.

If you were in a premade then you should've used voice chat just to be sure that they system can't punish you.

That being said, I feel that Rito is way to lenient with offensive summoner names and clan names and clan tags.

People really like putting the League of Legends Chat tolerance to the test. You shouldn't ever say it in the chat. Never. This board is filled with "Don't type any negative, slurs, insults, or harassment. PERIOD". And yet they end up thinking: "Oh they said something that's not permitted, I MUST RESPOND and repeat the word they just said, I am definitely in the right here, so I can say this zero tolerance word anytime I want. If I get banned I'll just complain to the board about how the system is broken."

[zombie-brand-facepalm]

I mean seriously... There's never a time, period, you can say these things, slurs or anything that's negative. Doesn't matter what the excuse is, Riot said it themselves, DON'T say it. What did you think was gonna happen? A free pass? You don't get a free pass on something Riot said that you are not permitted to say it no matter what the case is. And here we are, another individual putting the chat to the test just to blame Riot for their own mistakes. NO ONE is invulnerable to the system.
