Solution for the passive-aggressive pinging

I'm an avid League of Legends player on the Taiwanese server, I would post on the forums there but the Taiwanese forum is useless, spammed with trolls and porn so I decided to post on here so Riot can see.

I don't know if this has been suggested before but I think changing the symbols or the way the pinging is done would lower the number of spammers as well as the annoying feeling brought about by that one teammate who ALWAYS ping a question mark when you die (You guys know what I'm talking about), as if they never make any mistakes. I don't know about you guys but this behavior is really distracting to me.

So my proposal is change the Enemy is Missing ping symbol to something other than the question mark, as for what it is that's not for me to say. This will remove that intended effect mentioned in the above paragraph. Then change the ping system to better deliver positive messages, such as "My beloved teammate, please retreat!", that was a joke but again, the idea is to make it so the ping can still be abused but all the spammer can do is make the spamming behavior look polite. This idea was from this other game I played a while back where every time a player cusses the system would automatically change the phrase to "I love you!" and that was pretty entertaining.

As a huge fan of the game I do want to see the game being free of toxic players, so that was my short suggestion.

Would be cool if they could add in "Missing Middle or Missing Bottom, etc" like they had in D2 for all hero voices.

or you can just report them as harassment?

Riot does have access to that data, just make sure you let them know that they are spamming pings in the report message.

I hate people who do that with Mia pings, though I'm not above using normal pings if a teammate does something dumb.

But yes, I'm a ping spammer if I have information to give, in groups of 3 pings a pop typically.
