This is ridiculous, I got banned for using my right to free speech when I've spent money on this game, dont get me wrong some people are complete shitheads that deserve to be banned but it seems like whenever someone is just salty and they have enough people they can get anyone chat restricted, suspended, or banned. I am tired of this bullshit, league of legends is such a great game I love playing it with my friends; we have such a good time. Unless of course the special snowflakes at rito are like "WAAAAA U HURT HIS FEELINGS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BOO HOOO" this is fucking stupid, if someone can't handle shit they shouldnt dish out, I NEVER and I mean NEVER shit talk unless someone starts up, but noooooooooooo I get banned because I'm such a horrible person for doing unto others. AS A MATTER OF FACT WHO DOESNT SHIT TALK? IM PART OF THE 99% OF LEAGUE PLAYERS WHO SHIT TALK AND I GET PERMA BANNED. This needs to be fixed, i'm fucking disgusted by riot completely right now.

"Free speech". Free speech, the 1st Amendment, only protects you from the government punishing you. Riot isn't the government, and thus you have no protection from being banned for saying whatever you want.

You're judged purely on your behavior, regardless of the situation, since you're responsible for your behavior regardless of the situation.

Paying money on the game does not mean that the rules or punishment for breaking those rules not apply to you.

"right to free speech" references being safe from the government suppressing someone for what they say provided they are not causing a panic by what they say (Yelling "FIRE!" in a crowded area").

All other establishments have all the rights in the world to deny access to their product for what you say.

Judging by the language that you use in this post, it is quite clear that you don't care for others' feelings. Sometimes, words can hurt and you need to understand. Derogatory terms towards sexual orientation, disabilities, race, or religion are not tolerated and you should be punished if you have used words that fall under these categories. Coming from a permanently banned player, it is important that you utilize the chat to help the team. You shouldn't use the chat to cause harm to your teammates or the enemy players, I would know. Even if they harass you first, there is no point in fighting back, it will only get you banned, it happened to me. Instead, just mute the player and just keep playing. As one of the pre-game tips say, "Players who curse at their teammates lose 13% more games." Maybe you could make a smurf and take my advice.
