permanently suspended for sharing the personal information of another player

So a day ago, I woke up and saw I got permanently suspended. I had to send a support ticket to riot checking why I got permanently suspended and they said "permanently suspended for sharing the personal information of another player." with no explanation. I never shared anyone else account information nor do I know anyone else account information. The only thing that comes up into mind was one game with summoner #1 and summoner #2 in a ranked game.

Basically what happened was I got into champion select with those two, summoner #2, types in he found summoner # 1 Facebook and links it into chat. Someone dodges... Queue pops and I'm in champion select with summoner #2 again and he tells us to spam his real name in all chat to make summoner #1 salty. So the entire team did it but I was doing it the most because it was for the dank memes. Summoner #1 started getting tilted and I just kept going and saying "I love how you have taric in your last name... it makes me gay" I mean cmon... that's pretty funny and the entire team was doing it. Before winning, summoner #1 asks summoner #2 how he found his FB account and he told him, "dumbass I donated to you on twitch and donations shows name". Summoner #1 actually tilts because he forgot about that and starts to cool down. After the win, I'm in champion select with Summoner #1 again and I explain to him why I did it and he was totally chill with it. So now I'm the dank meme is over and then later that day I got Perma banned for for sharing the personal information of another player??????? Like I know I was saying his name and tilting him but I wasn't the one who shared it. It was summoner #2. Also, summoner #2 isn't banned but I am? I'm not saying I'm totally innocent and that I shouldn't get punished for tilting an enemy player for LP, but I contacted summoner #1 and he said he didn't report me, he only reported summoner #2 He told me that I shouldn't be the one getting perma banned and that summoner #2 should be the one getting the punishment.

BTW, I'm not a toxic player and had a clean record for 2 years, never suspended (until just now, actually perma banned...), chat restrictioned, etc. In my opinion, I know I was tilting an enemy team into misery but we ended up supporting each other in the end, however, i do believe I should get a warning for purposely ruining another player gameplay and thats it.

A summoner named, Cute Boy Andrew

This might not have been permaban-worthy... but you definitely shouldn't set out to harass another player in chat.

It shouldn't be that hard to figure out when you're crossing the line from fun into hurting others.

Additionally you participated in spreading their name around, which definitely would constitute sharing of information. Just because somebody else did it first does not mean that you are free to do so as well without consequence.

I suspect that Riot was harsher with your punishment because of the blatant violations of common decency. But also because you intentionally spread information about a player to the 4 other players on the enemy team.

Play the game, not the people.

This is actually a direct violation of the Terms of Use, and a fairly egregious one.

Specifically, for personal safety and security reasons, Riot does not allow you to share personal information. Here's the excerpt (and here's the link):

The following are examples of behavior that warrant disciplinary measures:

ii. Posting identifying information about yourself or other users to the Website or within the Game;

iii. Harassing, stalking or threatening other users in the Game;

You were not only revealing identifying information about another player, but you were also endorsing someone stalking them by doing so, and using said information to harass them during a game. That isn't "dank memes:" that's a violation of that player's privacy, and that's something it seems Riot takes very seriously.

Also, you should remove the names of all the players involved (save yourself) from the boards. There is a policy against including the names of other summoners, especially in situations like this.

Hello,

I have removed the names of other summoners from your post. Please don't name-and-shame.

"Gee, I don't know why I'm banned, when all I did was violate the Terms of Use that I agreed to but likely didn't read".

"I love how you have taric in your last name... it makes me gay" - wtf

How is this funny? I am not laughing. The rest of what you did is not okay.

I have read your comments and I have edited my post.This is my first time posting here so thank you for the advice!!!

I want to say, that I didn't realize how serious this was and that I should actually get punished. However I don't think this perma ban worthy like Someone said. My suggestion is that they strip away all my season rewards and suspend me for 14 days or more. Once again, thank you for spending your time educating me on the summoner code and I'm deeply sorry for the inconvenience I caused that summoner. I already apologized to him and now we're on good terms

I'm hoping I can get another chance so that I can reflect on my behaviors.

How do you know that they are not banned? Not that it does matter, you get punished for what YOU did and not what someone else on your team did.

BTW, I'm not a toxic player

Read your text again and tell me that you can be serious about this. You basically bullied someone for an entire game, what is this if not toxic?

Absolutly deserved ban.

Firstly, naming and shaming is against the rules, so you might want to remove the summoner names (at least of the one you're calling out for getting you in trouble, if not all of them).

Second; at what point do you think "spamming someone's real name to make them salty for dank memes" is okay? On top of that, why the hell did you keep going with it? Even if not for sharing that guy's personal information, you certainly deserve a ban for lacking a sense of common decency.

If someone starts telling you to "do x to make y player salty", chances are you really want to mute the person who's telling you to and play the game. Especially if you get as carried away as you said you did.

You should take this suspension as reason to re-think your actions, your "memes", and probably several other things. But again; if someone tells you to heckle someone:

##Don't.
