RIOT PLEASE LET US REPORT IN CHAMPION SELECT

So this is my third time posting about this my second one got deleted... not sure why but anyways. I was just in a champion select where I queued up for jungle/mid. I got jungle as my role but my mid asked to jungle, I said yes. My OF COURSE AUTOFILLED SUPPORT (always the toxic losers cant play support 1 game) asks "Can I jungle" he responds "No sorry" this pussy, picks shyv anyways (I have already locked in) and now the original mid laner ALSO picks a jungler..... well now the WHOLE game is fucked all because of 2 people acting like 4 year olds. Honestly if I didn't lock in as yasuo already I would have supported but now I am forced to dodge the game or take a free loss. Well anyone in the right mind is going to dodge so that's what I did. Now I lose LP and waste 5 minutes of my life coming back on here once again posting about how we should be able to report people in champion select or something along those lines. Its complete bullshit if I get autofilled to support and choose a jungle champion nothing will happen to me at all. WTF RIOT?!??!?!?!?!??! Am I the only one with this problem? It happens at least 4-5 times a week.

Bottom line is I'm tired of dodging, losing LP and getting punished for trying to be the proactive one. Yea nice system. Let. Us. Report. In. Champion. Select.

Hell, I agree with you. I had one last night in flex queue where a premade 3 proceeded to ban the other two people's intent picks... my friend's once, and mine twice. Then they proceeded to taunt us about doing it. Did I dodge? Yes. Rather that small LP loss than a lot more.

If I could report them, I would have. If I would have remembered to get a screenshot or chat log, I'd have done that too.

Fucking trolls.

was just about to make a thread about this. im willing to play any role if people get auto filled, and I do whatever I can to make my team happy. but we have a **serious ****problem **when people are threatening to feed in pregame chat. i don't even care about losing 3 lp for dodging, i really don't; but if i do then we cant report them and therefore i never do. i have keept track and only win 26% of games where someone threatens to feed in pregame chat. i find this to be the biggest problem facing lol right now. we have well behaved players getting punished while misbehaved players get away not only scot-free, but with the bonus of not having to play an off role how is this acceptable riot?

I agree. There should also be a report option when we search their summoner profile. I really don't understand how there isn't an option for that..

Why do you think this happens?

Its because no one likes playing support in Solo Queue because (X) Champion isn't going to pick a ADC or Support that actually works with the comp the way it needs to this is why its better to duo the bot role all together, or don't queue for bot my experience.

This usually occurs when you got a brain dead jungler generally speaking who can do nothing for a group fight, and a support who can't do anything anyways as needed so basically as an ADC you have no way of doing anything but sitting on tower and trying to go Equal farm only to eventually lose the tower first and or give kills because of it...

Which leads to negative chat toxicity, and usually GG...

So asking me if you think ill go Leona or Sona sure if you get me a jungle who actually confirms with me they know how to play the game, or a mid lane that can sync and play properly into an all in comp fight absolutely otherwise don't be shocked when me or someone else does something crazy and you don't agree with it.

Adding a report function in champion select would be good but players would just abuse it complaining about each-other and how useless something is.

First, we agree with the community that holding champion select hostage isn’t an acceptable thing for players to do. Being able to choose your position isn’t a guarantee that you’ll get your primary selection every time — we need all players to take their turn playing other positions either via secondary choice or autofill so the system can get people into a game in a reasonable amount of time. This obviously works best when people lean into the role they’re assigned and try to do the best they can.

I actually wanted to test this out in pre game lobby, I said the most racist/toxic stuff in the world to see if I would get banned. Everyone said they were gonna report me, got reported, 2 days still no warning lol.

Here's the thing.... We have to weigh the benefits against the potential threats when it comes to any change in the game. This type of stuff would happen to me plenty back before you were able to choose your role, but has significantly dropped ever since. Now and then, a game will come by where I do get people stealing other peoples roles, or other unsportsmanlike behaviour. That being said, the amount of games I get a toxic/tilted person in chat is significantly higher. All it would take is accidentally banning someone's champion/ picking a troll champion/ a bit of attitude to have someone reported, massively increasing the amount of reports in the game. Your intention is to get some of these negative people out of your game/give them less power.... But in return, you're giving them more than they previously had .. Not sure how clear I am being.... But get what I'm coming at?

I am all for this, but even if this were to take affect, it wouldn't change anything.

And think of it this way, would you rather lose 3 LP and 5 minutes every now and then, or 20LP, 1 hour of your time, and the MMR to go along with that game.

It sucks to be in your position. I hate those players, I feel bad for you, and I want something done so this doesn't happen cuz it shouldn't.

But if you take a step back, you'll realize we need to take a different approach, because it's arguably not reportable.

Like I get you, this kind of behavior is causing problems and potentially count as griefing the team. However, from their perspective, they can easily argue they're simply doing what they think is best "for themselves". There is no rule stating you must act in your team's best interest over your own, nor is there any term saying that you must play the role assigned to you. Role giving is the system riot came up with, and it came from the meta - except we aren't obliged to stick to the meta.

We have the freedom to play in however way we want as long as we're actually playing, and no, not doing what you or general public expect them to do does not count as "playing at your expense".

tl;dr Is it frowned upon? Yes. Is it likely to cost them the game? Yes. Is it a bannable offense? I wish it is, but it isn't directly against any written rule.
