So ive been honored more than humanly possible but have not leveled up at all no checkpoints nothing at all

It always took long to get started, it's just a matter of time, you have an ENTIRE YEAR to get honor 5 so dont sweat it

It's not all about getting honored. If you're still being validly reported, even if it's not enough to punish you again it might stop your honor progress, up to no progress at all.

Honor is a season-long process. It takes at least a few months to start going up, and since it JUST reset for most people you still have some time before you will start to see it raise.
