Besides the game 3, games 1 and 2, I was pretty much responding to teammates which happen to be duo/more who were flaming all game. Also got multiple pop ups for offensive language for saying "don't kill him, he's lagging pretty hard" and "i'll let you live since you're lagging as long as your duo doesn't gank me". Even got a pop up for not even saying a single word in a game because we stomped the other team. Same thing happens on my other accounts (ever since dynamic queue), seems like I get reported even for bad games. Anyways, the chats for the games. Straight tilted. I'm low, we get level 2 and Alistar doesn't level heal. Proceeds to constantly headbutt people to save them or to get me killed. And he has a duo who's telling me to stop dying when Alistar is doing nothing as support and getting me killed. (Dying at our own tower or behind it without the enemy's jungler ganking, just losing 2v2). All 3 games, dynamic queue with at least duos on my team. Welcome to dynamic queue. Getting permabanned for this? I mean, there is a mute button. If there was no mute button, then that would be different but if someone is so toxic that you can't stand it, why not just mute? Yet, if someone is trolling, I have to deal with it? Makes sense. If players are toxic, just tell players to use the mute function (it is there for a reason) or mute our chat and don't let us talk. You are teaching people to not say anything and be a snitch. In real life, if you have a problem, you confront the situation. Probably seen this example in job questionnaires, if your co-worker is slacking off, do you let them know about it or go to the manager? You don't go to the manager, you let them know about it. Same here, someone is slacking off, you let them know about it. Someone is talking, you reply. Don't like what they got to say, walk away aka mute.

You've played for four years and are suprised you got banned??? Did you even read the chat logs?

You think ANY of the below is acceptable? Have you never heard of moral? Have you never played a game with friends? In that game did you complain the whole time about how bad your team mates are? And how they lost before they even got 5 minutes into what usually is a 30-40 minute game?

It's hard to come back in Summoners Rift. Hard, not impossible. Like many sports, there's room for that team come back in the final seconds of the game but I'm sure that the leaders of those teams that do come back aren't telling their team mates how bad they are. My guess is they're positive and trying to inspire them to conquer what seems like the impossible.

While games 1 and 2 aren't that bad, it should be clear that you can't afford any type of negative chat when you already had a prior 14-day ban.

Well i got banned from just one game where the only thing i said was "report the x player" it skipped the 14 days ban straight to perma.diamond 3 with 100€ spent on this account xd.i guess the rukes about toxicity habe changed the past few months,everything is possible.

you had 3 chances to reform, didn't learn from any of them. Now you come to us and scream after you got permabanned.

Also, 2 wrongs don't make a right. If they are trolling you, they'll get their punishment. You'll get yours as well if you retaliated in a passive aggressive manner.

You don't have to respond to them if they are trolling you, you can also work on something else in game to make you enjoy other things. Such as "guess where the enemy is in fog of war" game.

You can defend yourself so long as it's done in a respectful manner, and from what I saw in all 3 games, you were not being respectful, you were being a jerk. Also, one player acting up doesn't mean that you can act up as well. In situations like that it's better to have just one angry person raging into blank space then have you give them what they want and rage back at them there. Also, the mute button is not a "get out of jail free" card-when you force someone to mute you, that means that the damage has already been done.

From Understanding the Tribunal:

1) What's the point of having a language filter if I can get banned for 'adult' language? a) We aren't out to punish players who use adult language; in fact, very few players are ever banned for saying stuff like "f***, I missed that skill shot" or "damn, fing close game!" However, the language filter is not an excuse to verbally abuse someone in the game. When you verbally abuse or harass someone by calling them "fing *****" or "ngger noob", that's when you've crossed the line and will be punished by the Tribunal. I've said this before and I'll say it again, we aren't trying to clean online games of adult language; we're trying to reform or get rid of jerks who like to verbally abuse and harass other players.

4) That player in my game was far worse than me. Why am I banned??? a) I'll keep this one simple: retaliation isn't OK. Reacting to a toxic player by being toxic just incites that player to be even worse--it also ruins the game for up to 8 other players. It is far, far worse to watch two people yelling at each other all game than it is to watch 1 player ranting into blank space. Almost everyone in the game can find someone out there that behaves worse than they do--but so what? Finding someone worse doesn't justify your behavior or justify retaliation. We expect more out of our players. What players often don't realize is... those other players in your game that you thought were worse? Nearly 100% of the time, those players were banned even before you were. If someone is being toxic, just report them and move on. If you retaliate, both of you will be banned. It's really that simple.

Let’s start with the Riot quote on this (link (http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?p=30696571#post30696571)): Why is verbal abuse punishable if there is a mute button/language filter? Players shouldn’t need to rely on features like the mute button or language filter to engage with other players in positive ways. When a player verbally abuses another player and forces him to use the mute button, they have already created a negative experience for that player.

Simply put, Riot says no. You can scream and cry all you want, but it is their house and their rules.

With that out of the way, I think the topic deserves some further discussion. The theory is that, if people resolved to care less, then they would be happier. I often refer to this as “Argument from Stoicism” and I think it is a fairly weak philosophy because it places the burden on the person being expected to endure the behavior rather than the person exhibiting the behavior. “You should be able to handle it” is just a flimsy excuse for being a bully or a jerk. I have to be the bigger man so that you can do whatever you want? That hardly seems fair.

There is also the issue of how I spend my limited free time. Like most people, I am constantly required to make value judgments between the different forms of entertainment that are available to me and, let's be honest, we live in an age of nearly limitless entertainment options. If I'm having a bad day in League, I can just fire up Steam and play a whole bunch of games that don't require me to put up with someone's BS.

This is not an issue of weakness or thin-skin; it's a question of choosing activities that don't leave me feeling frustrated and angry. Too many of those experiences and I'll just find something else to do. Riot knows this.

This is a subset of the oversensitivity argument, but I feel it warrants separate treatment.

You're making the highly unwarranted assumption that the people who punish for "noob" lack real-world experiences. If you were to ask the TBI regulars, you would find that almost all of us are at least in their late 20's, if not significantly older. Most of us have at least undergraduate degrees. So, this idea that we're all naive little children is more than a little silly.

Also, we know that professional players dislike people who spend their time typing because math. Not only are the report rates for the highest tiers not significantly lower than anywhere else (this from Lyte), but the pros know how that kind of behavior affects play. Someone who is on tilt is throwing the game just as much as the person who is playing poorly.

The truth of the matter is that the loose cannons end up having their misbehavior overshadow their skill. Look at Dennis Rodman. There has never been a better rebounder. Ever. But his legacy is not that he was basically a human vacuum. No, it's that he was out of control, both on and off the court.

In short, this is a stupid argument if you know anything about the people who are reporting and punishing you.

You should know that Riot specifically instructs jurors to ignore most of the conduct of people in a case other than the accused. The reason for this is rather simple: rather than one person causing trouble, you now have two –or more. In my more cynical moments, I have phrased it thus:

Timmy, Tommy and Sarah are trapped in an elevator. Timmy loses his temper and soils himself. Tommy gets angry at the smell and decides to retaliate by soiling himself. Now Sarah is trapped with two smelly idiots. Don’t be Timmy or Tommy. Stop ****ing your pants.

An informal poll of the Tribunal regulars shows that most jurors are willing to excuse a certain amount of response to someone who is attacking you, but that it isn’t considered an excuse for you to become toxic in response. You get MAYBE one or two lines of response. Anything more than that and you’re part of the problem.

It's really unfortunate. Many Rioters love Dunkey's content, and I've unloaded my share of "Not even close babyyyyy" jokes around the office; however, we really can't show favoritism to someone just because they are a pro or a known content creator. This isn't really a debate about whether trashtalking is OK or not OK in games; we've talked a lot in the past about how we're OK with players bantering with their friends but you should be careful when interacting with strangers who may not understand your intentions--especially if you're using hate speech or slurs. We have a zero tolerance policy against hate speech, racism, homophobia, and sexism and that policy stands whether you're a random player, a pro player, or a Youtube celebrity.

This also really wasn't a case about intentional feeders and whether it's OK to be toxic towards other toxic players--there wasn't even a Malphite in the game that got him banned and either way, retaliation just isn't OK because it makes the experience worse for everyone else in the game.

We know that players have been asking us to be more aggressive against intentional feeders for awhile, and it has taken us a bit longer than we'd like. We do consider gameplay toxicity just as serious as verbal toxicity, and are launching a new Intentional Feeder Detection system in 5.18 that can ban feeders within 15 minutes of matches. We're starting with conservative settings to make sure the system would not ban players for having the rare bad game, even if it was a 0-10 type of bad game but this is a great first step to aggressively tackling intentional feeders.

At the end of the day, this incident sucks for everyone. We respect that Dunkey hasn't posted his Reform Card, and I'm not going to post it either. Best wishes to him in the future.

P.S. You were permabanned because you failed to reform after receiving at least 35-games worth of chat restrictions and a 2-week ban as well. In order to drop down 1 punishment tier you have to show at least 3 months of genuine reform effort, which in this case you did not.
