Bronze 4 rant

Before you guys start to tell me how bad of a player I am I want to say that I know I'm bad and I'm not complaining about being in bronze - I started playing this game about 2 months ago and I am hooked. What I am complaining about today is how I won four games in a row today and barely got 50 lp only to lose half of them the game after. We got a strong opposing team - relative to my bronze skills and we were holding up well, Trynd was giving me a hard time top but I was still holding up with him and helping others whenever I could. At the most critical point in the game when we were all level 15+ - two of my teammates go afk(Yasuo and Leona), we are unable to hold up and we lose. This really makes me feel really disappointed. I'd be ok with getting much less lp as long as I knew I was progressing. But losing so much because people go afk in your team doesn't feel right to me.

P.S. I still like bronze 4 since people seem much nicer and less toxic then in bronze 5.

personally i say you shoulden't even ranked.

You have yet to develop the maturity needed for ranked moba play.

Do yourself a favor, go play normies for half a year, and once you can go 5 straight games without wanting to murder someone while being able to carry yourself, that is when you are ready for ranked.

Losing LP because of AFKs is harsh but honestly a necessary part of league. If they made it so if somebody afkd you wouldn't lose LP, it would cause many many problems with ranked play integrity.

As for winning 50 LP in 4 wins, the game used to be much much worse. My first season of ranked I was placed bronze 1 and ended up with MMR so low I'd win like 5 LP per win. (I'm now master on my highest account so trust me you'll get better) It's gotten much better since then with keeping LP gains moderate but it's still annoying.

My only advice would be to just stick with it and maybe set a different goal for yourself this season. Instead of focusing necessarily on getting silver or x rank by the end of the season, still strive to win but set some other goal like warding more in games. Or getting your CS/min up as much as you can. Or maybe try practicing wave manipulation etc....

There are a million of these things you could work on that would make you a much better player. In bronze all you can do is learn and improve your play. That is much more worthwhile and helpful than focusing on "omg teams in bronze are horrible," like most people do. You'll gain rank when you improve. Easy as that. Now just focus on getting better.
