Riot please help me

I've been playing league of legends for a couple years now and the more mainstream this game becomes, the more it is starting to become COD. I only say this because if you compare the communities they are so much alike. Lets take COD 4 for example. When the game was at its prime, yes there was trolling, but it was nothing like what you see today (season 3), then MW2 dropped and the world was never the same (the rise of Esports) now look at the community today. I have never experienced a more toxic community then with league today. The minute you get to champ select nobody gives af about anything and just picks any kind of comp (which is some what acceptable okay). then you get to the actual game and if your team goes behind 2 - 3 kills all you see is "GG, insert feeders name sucks report him (for what? there isnt even a unskilled anymore)". then the team is completely tilted where there's no point in even playing.

It's becoming increasingly frustrating for me personally because im in gold 2 currently and my teams perform well i must say. But the second i enter gold 1 complete trolls i swear COMPLETE TROLLS. Like is gold 1 full of freaking boosters or something because its astonishing how much toxicity these people can produce. Its like i have a team full of Banes just with tanks of toxic hanging on there backs ready to be unleashed into their veins at the press of a button.

To the people who vote 'worsened.' You probably see it as it is, and not as how it was. There was a point in and time in league's history where every game I went into, was nothing but ragers. Nowadays I go into games and laugh, joke around. Have fun. I've met some amazing people and gotten some pretty awesome wins. Phenomenon of sunshine Lux [slayer-jinx-catface] Lux

But seriously, most people that see an overly negative community either A. Do not talk, or B. Say negative comments.

I start off every game with a "Hi how are you!" type atmosphere. I compliment, talk, interact. I've seen too many individuals in ranked go "Shut up its ranked be quiet." That does NOT HELP THE COMMUNITY.

If you want it to change, blaze your own path. I have my downfalls, I have my negatives. But I like to try to act like how I want the community to act.

you have no idea how bad it has been. with the new punishment systems it has DEFINITELY improved. i've been playing this game for 4 years, i have seen some shit, it is NOT as bad as it used to be.

This game is toxic, if you say anything to anyone that is immature and salty you will get false reports.

I don't know, while "toxicity" was higher before, people didn't really seem to care about it as much, and you could still joke around with the same guy you literally just told to kill himself. Not anymore, though, which I think paints the illusion of increased toxicity. This is all in my experience, at least.
