Nightblue3 and Nubrac

I will never understand the community in League of Legends

How is it toxic that NB3 was rightfully upset about a griefer that Riot has known about and hadn't banned? Why do people see it as a negative thing that members of the LPP had a Discord with Rioters to converse with for whatever reason? In any case, streamers get target inted in high elo, and as IWD mentioned in his previous Facecheck podcast with Loco, its almost inescapably in high elo and results in match after match of griefing, as shown in a collection of videos a year or 2 back featuring dom, qt, and the griefedr dotot who target inted dom and qt for a series of around 10 games in a single day. Not only does this make the streamers not want to play league, but it also paints the game in a bad light since streams like qt's and dom's have such high exposure in the community.

It just seems like a very backwards thought to a guy for being upset about an entire elo being repeatedly griefed by a player

Because whether or not we disagree with Nubrac's strategy and even though his teammates did it too, AFKing is unacceptable. Additionally, NB3s attitude in that match was poor and most players believe that as a popular content creator he should be held to a higher standard.

Personal note, I do think that Nubrac's strategy should be considered griefing but that's clearly a large point of contention for the majority of players and as such it should be obvious that there is no definitive answer to this situation.

Short answer, because of "muh diversity" Longer answer, because playerbase sees Nubrac as an opressed inventor whos fighting against the broken system, while NB3 is a big bad streamer who doesnt approve "inventions" and pulled connections in Riot to get the innocent inventor banned.

While at the same time, they're ignoring all other informations that shows Nubrac is just a fucking troll who did this for an attention. Not only that but NB3 now ate a fucking ban because of the community outrage (while in terms of rules its justified, i guess) they also dont look at it from the streamers perspective, as you mentioned.

NB3 was rightfully upset

One might argue that NB3 is displaying too much toxicity ingame(e.g. "KYS" incident that went unpunished, no one reported him ingame, tho it doesn't mean he shouldn't be punished), I would say that he wasn't banned of that one game, since those chatlogs wasn't even worth chat rest(I guess he had some already, so he was banned). What I wanted to say, he was upset ingame(many times), instead only on stream.

Other than that, I fully agree, streamers(maybe proplayers as well?) should have ways to communicate directly with Riot, to solve issues quickly.

To be clear:

He had reason to be upset. He had no reason to go apeshit, create a scandal, and arbitrarily declare himself as worthy by Riot of giving 2 week vacations to anyone he dubs an idiot.

He went off the deep end, he painted a target on his back, and he all but put words in riot's mouth that anyone who crossed him would be banned. That's more than enough to warrant the same vacation as griefing.

Being upset is one thing, the way he acted upon it is another. He deserved to be banned just like any issue.

AFK is unacceptable because it creates a negative play experience for the team. However, in NB3s situation, 2 already afk'd, the other already gave up on the game, so in this case, Nubrac's team agreed that the game was over because of Nubrac's indisputable griefing behavior.

The circumstances don't matter, AFKing is unacceptable. Play the game until a Nexus explodes or don't play at all, Riot doesn't ever see it as justifiable and doubly so for a popular content creator since that could set a precedent for his/her viewers.

Also: "Nubrac's indisputable griefing behavior."

It's clearly not "indisputable" since the situation has caused this big of an uproar on Twitter, Reddit, and the Boards. Factually speaking there is no definitive answer to this problem, it's disputable from either side.

Now I do hate NB3 as well especially after his drama with qtpie when he was called out for being diamond so NB3 intentionally fed on stream when qtpie was on his team. NB3 can honestly be trash with his toxic behavior, but this afk situation was inevitable (meaning it was out of NB3's control, why you ask? because the game was out of his control when Nubrac decided to refuse to communicate pre-game AND during the game, created a negative play experience for his whole team (and evidently in numerous other games as presented by Nubrac from Riot), and hard-griefed.

Again, AFKing is unacceptable regardless of the scenario.

Even if a full 5 man premade chose to AFK, that's still against the rules and those players are eligible for punishment.

You consider off meta strategy* griefing?
