Permabanned?.

Okay. So, I've been playing league of legends for 4 years now? Since the end of season 1. I've spent well over a thousand dollars on multiple accounts, and for sure upwards of 600$ on this account let me say again, upwards of 600$. Now, i just recently got through a 2 week ban, and then almost immediately got banned permanently. If i recall back in the day i read something that said after a 2 week ban you also receive 2 separate 4 week bans. While i can admit i get angry and may be a little bit toxic. i was taking it way less seriously because i assumed i had more of a safety net to fall back on before i got permanently banned. I have heard about people getting chat banned for thousands of games, why did i never receive a punishment like that, if anything, it would actually help to reform. Instead i only got account bans, and the second i get unbanned i'm in nothing but a salty mood and i'm just even more angry having been banned recently. The famous youtuber Shacclone was chat restricted for almost 3 thousand future games. Would such a thing be better for me? Instead of permanently banning my account that i have spent again, over 600$ on. I've been playing this game for years, and only recently fell back into negative behavior, and again, i was not taking me ban as seriously as i should have, because i thought i had more wiggle room, although i know it's never good to be toxic, i was figuring that i'd have more chances. I am not saying my behavior is okay, And i'm not saying that i deserve to just get off scott free. But what i am saying is, why can i not be chat restricted for longer, instead of being permanently banned. I know you guys will probably say the same things and that i've been given chances, But we are also talking about hundreds and hundreds of dollars just wasted, when i could just as easily be chat restricted, for well, frankly the rest of my life. Hopefully i get an actual human and not just a chat robot. And i hope that we can resolve this in a different way, because like i said, 600$ is alot to just disappear out of the blue. Had i gotten one notice saying "If you are reported one more time, you will be permanently banned" i would have immediately realized i was this close to the edge, and would have changed. I hope we can come up with some other solution, Thank you for your time.

P.s. I know, I'm bad sometimes. But overall, for having my account for a few years, I'm not bad THAT often. Do you not think being permanently banned is a little harsh?. Can I not just transfer over my purchase to a new account?. Which I will obviously make one. And what's the point in permanently banning me, it doesn't REFORM anything.! It just makes me angrier and forces me to make a smurf on which I'll just be angry and more toxic. Not to say I haven't had many chances, but my point is. Everyone needs that one last chance to realize, holy crap I need to quit. Or if anything. Permanent chat ban. But taking away my account that ive spent over 600$ on?. That's messed up riot. It really is...

Sorry, no. It's a permaban after the 14 day. Steps are as follows;

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game chat restriction
  • 14 day account ban
  • Permanent account ban

Typically it goes in order one at a time, but extremely toxic behavior may result in skipping steps. It also takes 3 months for your tier to drop 1 step (i.e. 3 months after getting a 14 day ban your next punishment is a 14 day again instead of a perma).

You're expected to reform before they are forced to permaban you. You might think it's messed up, but you had several chances to change, yet continued to be a problem to other players. As for getting a different punishment, Riot will not change a punishment unless it was in error, and they also do not give permanent chat restrictions.

If getting permabanned really means you're just going to go be toxic on a smurf, you're hurting yourself more than anyone else. You'll only end up losing those accounts too, proving that a temporary punishment was never going to work on you. Prove yourself to be better than that and enjoy the game without ruining it for others.

This is something I never understood when people break the rules. What makes them think that them buying RP is some holy grounds that they should never get punished? It just doesn't make sense in my eyes. Everyone is treated equally. You break the rules you get some form of punishment simple as that. You chose to ignore the consequences as well as assume that you had more chances to "throw away" if I was ever ban (or chat restricted) that would tell me to clean my act. Not assume I have a couple more chances to act up so it should be fine. Just I'm trying to understand why people feel the need to act like children in this. I would assume if you are mature enough to use a computer/play this game. You are mature enough to act like a civilized human being!

See but even then if you paid for things (in this case RP) I would think it would be common sense to be on your best behavior since now it has some value in it. Of all the complaints I e seen they really only bring up spending money because they feel like they shouldn't be ban because they paid. There is no reason to continue to break the rules and justify it because you spend money on the game you aren't going to get punished. Name one game that actually has something like that?

You're a good example why Riot doesn't show the actual account state of how close you are to the next punishment. "Oh, I'm close to a ban, I should behave for like 10 games. After that, I can be toxic again" What ever, it's your own fault. (btw. just read the bottom of your 14 day ban mail, there is a warning that you're close to a permanent ban)

First off, Riot doesn't care if you spend money. You will get banned if you're toxic enough as well as get reported fro it. Buying RP doesn't give you ANY leeway at all. You get the same punishment as someone who's paid nothing.

Secondly, where'd you hear the '2, seperate 4 week ban' thing? That's wrong and the person lied. Your banned in tiers.

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game chat restriction
  • 14 day ban
  • Permanent ban

It is also possible to skip the chat restrictions if you're toxic enough. Racial slurs and hate speech are two things that can go straight to a 2 week ban or even a permanent ban.

Also, Riot will not transfer the things you purchased as you don't own them. Our accounts are owned by Riot, we are borrowing them. The things we purchase are for us to use until things like being banned happens. If you get banned, you lose all privileges to not only the account but the items purchased until the ban is lifted, unless it's a permaban.

Lastly, permabans are Riot's way of saying "You didn't learn from the chat restrictions/2 week ban, we don't want you here." If you're toxic enough to skip straight to a perma, then most of the community will wonder if you're okay, which you probably aren't.

Though for us to really tell you if the ban was deserved is for you to post your chat logs. Otherwise, all we can do is assume that yes, you deserved to be banned and that you shouldn't come back.

Edit; Nami beat me to the punishment tiers while I was typing.

It's irrelevant how much money you spent. No one cares at all. You were still an ass and you broke the rules.

And the point in permabanning is that you obviously can't reform after that many chances. So you are not welcome anymore. It is the "get out" message.

It's not harsh. You had multiple chances. You screwed them all up.

And obviously you haven't learned anything. Feel free to be toxic on as many new accounts as you want. You'll just get perma'd on every single one.

And it doesn't "force" you to do anything, let alone make a smurf. And you've already had tons of "last chances". Stop trying to act as if you have any right to complain. It's annoying.

And it's not messed up in the slightest.

tldr, but from what i've skimmed through, you don't understand the new reform system that was implemented since Aug-2015.
