AFKers(cont'd)

Suggestions:

  • Mark players with high AFK rate in champ select so other players can avoid playing with them.
  • Stronger punishments for leaving game/ AFKing
  • Fix the remake command to be more flexible around players just coming and going, costing lanes to die, and thus, the game.
  • Allow a kickvote/boot command to let the team with the deficit kick the AFK player and substitute a new one from game que.
  • Etc.

This is an overlooked problem guys. When its 4v5 or 3v5 the game is not even regardless what people think. There should be no reason a team needs to struggle to win, look bad after the game, and suffer a blow to stats because of players who don't value others' time into the game. Constantly games have one or two AFKer's who cost a lane to fall and the team suffers. Then everyone looks around like "How could this possibly have happened?", like being down a player didn't contribute to it.

A main suggestion I'd make is similar to other games where players have a "completion rate" or something to show other players their AFK rate and/or game completion consistency.

Let's take this a little more seriously, please.

Thanks

People need to account for this pre-game. If an emergency happens that's different. But, if its consistent, there should be consequences. Or perhaps another suggestion:

  • Incentives for high completion rates/Low (to NONE preferrably) AFK rates.

Ie. Boxes/skins/essence etc.

This shouldn't be too hard of a problem to solve/circumnavigate.

Thanks

Yeah, I agree with Arguyle. Playing with just computers/bots on ARAM is pretty harsh. Surely Riot can think of something to make this fair for all to play. If it just spreads like a slow cancer as it is then people will eventually play less and less public and go more to private games and then the liquidity and general fanbase will drop and this game could end up like many other MMORPGs (dead and a thing of the past). Surely, we wouldn't want that right.
