This is seriously what you suspend people for? Im astonished with punishments on this game.

Now keep in mind, I am not saying I dont deserve punishment because yea I shouldn't be a child and respond to people or say anything in the first place but idk heat of the moment sort of thing the smart option is probably to not use all chat all together but also you should seriously see the other side of the chat for these logs because those people were flaming thee HELL out of me and I am willing to bet they won't even be punished. No one I report for flaming me literally ever is. never once have i received a "this play has been punished thing" yet I am receiving a two week suspension after minimal chat restriction and moderately toxic behavior. I am in the wrong and I believe that chat restriction is totally justified, two wrongs don't make a right and I am by no means a good summoner on this game but I really do try to improve this and have had all chat turned off a large portion of games lately though I made the mistake of turning it back on. I never ever (probably have but rarely seeing as I can be a poor sport sometimes unfortunately but we aren't all saints are we?) flame my own team over anything I am not the "oh you're bad you lost me my game wow flame flame" guy. I merely responded to aggressive comments albeit in a lot of cases I have provoked it myself, I really don't think I should be receiving a two week suspension right now after such minimal punishment and not horribly toxic behavior... I'm pretty disappointed I was already heavily punished because of receiving my first chat restriction like a few days before hextech crafting came out and not being able to participate in that even though i have been in over 30 games where it has told me I was not receiving loot for bad behavior and now this? This is beyond just this is just crushing. Its like taking a hand for stealing, do you really believe it just? I definitely learned my lesson from this never enabling all chat again because at this point I'm just scared of riot. Can take a bunch of abuse and report people to see no effect but can never defend myself. Somewhat reminds me of the public schools ability to deal with bullying etc. I would sincerely appreciate a riot response to this even if to just justify the two week suspension because I fail to see it... Also I apologize for rambling and if any of this is incoherent it is just very late and I don't want to spend a really long time writing and editing due to how demoralized I currently am about this... Also, yes I use vulgar language and that is probably bad but hey maybe it just reflects my English education since I cant find better words to replace those words I poorly choose and that just looks bad on me. I also assume most people are of an age where as long as its not abusive they can read a few vulgar words without being totally destroyed... Children really shouldn't be playing this game with the community that it has and yes I realize I add to that sadly. :(

Sorry you feel that way and that you jump to assumptions like that. I think as someone who seems to be such an advocate against toxicity you should put a little more faith in your fellow summoners and not just attack them? Everyone is human, Everyone has flaws, Everyone makes mistakes and does things they regret. This behavior doesn't reflect the person I am and its unfortunate that you think of me so little. I would love to prove you wrong and make you proud but, that's a bit unrealistic seeing how you view me and that we have no ties.

My remarks were directed toward those report threats, including your own report and requesting others to report someone else. As long as things aren't taken too far, arguments and expressing frustration are tolerated to a certain degree. However, the moment you start threatening your teammate, you are working against your team directly. Even if my opinion is disregarded, report threats are against the rules so there isn't room to argue over the punishment to begin with.

This was an awesome change in temperament. Thank you, glad to see that there is reason present :) You are completely correct. It is just fueling toxicity to mention the report.. My logic is admittedly flawed as its kind of a "maybe if i bring up reporting they will shut up" kind of thing, since if someone says that to me I generally stop talking mute and hope I dont get smited for things like this. These issues were all against the enemy team other than the final game where I was saying that I could not be reported (though apparently I could) because their intention in reporting me was because they threw all responsibility for the loss on me due to a client bug resulting in me not having masteries and they were all saying in game in all chat "please report our lucian" etc. and "gg your account" and just junk like that.. Which honestly adds to the disappointment in this as those kinds of people are now getting satisfaction..

Your thread is literally all about complaining about how the system works. But then you jump admitting you were toxic?

I just don't get it. You are just proving the whole system is working correctly...

The thread is literally to figure out how this suspension was justified, and I did. I was upset in the moment of writing the post so I apologize if it came out differently and I left it open to negative interpretations but that was not the point. I admitted even in the original post that I was in the wrong, I just felt the punishment too severe. I still sort of do but it is understandable as I had previous strikes.

You are correct. FYI is short hand and stands for: For Your Information. Hence the FYI short hand. We are viewing the boards in Discussion View and conversations (replies to a certain comment) are grouped together.

I'm sure someone else will help you see why the chat logs where considered reportable. I try to go over them... But then I just forget what was what and have a hard time figuring out/remembering what parts where reportable for which reasons. Yea I completely understand why I was reported, I broke quite a few rules... This is just crazy punishment for it... I am very very sad tbh.

You had to have consistent behavior like this to lead to this suspension. That is how the punishment system works.

The punishment tiers are as follows:

1st punishment is a 10 game chat restriction. 2nd punishment is a 25 game chat restriction. 3rd punishment is a 14 day ban from the game. 4th (and final) is a permanent ban.

Some players skip tiers only because they were excessively toxic in their games. Very rarely does someone skip straight to a permanent ban.

its apparent you don't know the levels of toxicity you have, until you realize your wrongs you will just continue to rant about this. Your ban was well deserved seeing as you exhibit this behavior over multiple games.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I mean I don't know about too sensitive as I was definitely toxic but I do agree that the punishment is far too severe...

Game one: Picked on Jihn, called him an idiot. Said Twat once. **Alot **of back and forth talking, but picked the game up and later showed sportsmanship. Game two: Put team down alittle, said bitch once. Otherwise pretty mild Game Three: Seems pretty par for the course for this game.

Overall those 3 games are super mild and any kind of punishment is unnecessary.

Ah yea I was in skype with everyone on my team in game two besides the reksai.. Was lightheartedly joking with em, of course that cant be put in context seeing as skype has no chat logs... though I Could get them to vouch for me that they were in call and I am sure riot can see that we were queued together. TO be honest I found game two to be the most immature of my behaviour out of the three and most punishable.

the quantity of talking in game one would be used against you more i think. even using the to vouch for you wouldn't help. and context is somewhat there if you follow the order of what you say. Problem is people are just too sensitive. Call them an idiot get punished.

well. RIP. this may very well result in me leaving league, I am gonna be completely excluded from hextech crafting, not be able to say a word in games ever again, almost certainly lose season rewards, lose well over 1k honors, and lose my integrity... Sigh

These would just be the last three games that were flagged. He would have had games for both chat restrictions prior to this. While they might not be as bad the history and the fact that he didn't learn from previous punishments means that it should be escalated to a harsher punishment even if this was the worst.

unfortunately you are right. I honestly do believe this was the worst unless I am missing something I cant recall I truthfully do. But you are right. I was punished and I continued to make improper choices. Idk. I really do want to improve and not be toxic I am not just crying wolf... The previous chat restrictions were justified and I have been worse, but I am very much so trying to improve and I never would have thought this would get me suspended. I am going to be recovering from this for a really long time now if I even continue to play.

I hope you do change and that you are able to come back and become a positive member of the community. This is why they have the punishments set up the way they do. Some don't realize how bad they are with chat restrictions which is why there is the 14 day ban. However this is a last warning after this is a perma ban. So when/if you come back remember that.

Yea really wish I knew how seriously things are being taken lately... I witness FAR worse in games with the suicide pushing, cancer wishings, racial slurs, homophobia etc. and have never gotten an alert that someone I reported for this was punished.. I just got destroyed by this punishment.

Meh, I got a 10 game chat ban a month ago because I told a guy who was spamming me in game with death threats to go F himself at the end of the game after I reported him. I've honestly given up on any sort of riot fairness when it comes to their reporting system as well as their consistency on what gets punished and what doesn't get punished..

I mean, I can only take being called a Ni%%%er and a F%%ot game after game for so long before i finally snap.

You mute them so you don't continually see it in game. THEN in the post game lobby you report them since hate speech is NEVER tolerated and can lead to escalated punishments (straight to 14 day bans or worse if its extremely excessive it goes straight to a permanent ban).

Retaliation is never the answer either and isn't an excuse to be toxic to someone. Just because someones chat is horrid doesn't give you the right to be just as horrid to them either. Don't take their bait. Just don't. Please mute them so you don't have to deal with them in that game, and then report them in the end game lobby so other players don't have to deal with them.

Yea this is definitely the way to do it... I screwed up and it went catastrophic really quickly.

Prior to the ban you would have received both a 10 game and a 25 game chat restriction. You chose not to learn from these punishment and continued to be a negative influence in your games as shown by your chat logs. I would recommend that you take a big step back and realized that the next punishment is a perma ban.

I also think with what you said that there is probably not even the slightest chance of this being lifted. Its not necessarily justified by my behavior in these games but the culmination of my behavior all together... GG me.

Calling people Silver when you're only Gold 5. Like how is that any different?

Other than that, you were really whiny, calling others to report another, and calling another "aids" and such. I really wish punished people would stop pretending to be so dense & accept what they deserved.

False. Firstly, I am not "only gold 5" its an alternate account. Secondly, I was not stating that I was not in the wrong nor did I say I didn't deserve a punishment. Additionally, if you read the comments after it was further explained I now understand why I received the suspension and accept it. The logic was that those three games should not have been enough to result in a suspension, and that still stands because they shouldn't that would just be ridiculous. When it was explained it is a culmination of all behavior it makes sense.

Well, I don't like disappointing people but you won't be getting to giggle about it :). Especially now that I understand why I was suspended, I wouldn't complain if I was perma'd anyway, though I wont be. Try being more constructive and less of exactly what I was being :).
