Calling roles

I joined a queue earlier today and called my role (top) about a second later another player called top. I locked in my champ hoping he would notice my first call, but he also locked in his champ. I told him that I got top and if he could go JG. he claimed he called it first and his group proceeded to flame me all game long. The point that I'm trying to make is: if you join the queue last and think you first called your role, you probably didn't. not real name joined the lobby <Removed by moderation>: top not real name: top this is what i copied exactly from my chat log(the names are fake except for mine of course) In the end, we won but it was still an annoying experience. And before you comment no, I myself could not have gone jungle because I was playing Swain and he is not too good in the jungle. Also, I didn't have smite.summoner 11

there is a thing called lag where you joined a lobby late and literally did not see someone called anything. So if someone said he didnt see you called or think they called first, they probably really didnt see your chat and thought they called first.

there is no rule in Blind pick where calling a role means it belongs to you. if you called first and someone called after and still want top, then there is nothing wrong with 2 people playing top and no jungle. If you dont like that, play Draft.

I don't doubt you that your team may had flame you, but I'm sure you had some choice words for your teammate(s) as well...

Yo, I've gone ahead and removed the name of a player that you were naming and shaming, as it is against the Boards' Universal Rules. Should you wish to discuss more about the rules, you can reach us through the Boards Moderation Discord.

That being said, I do agree that usually joining last in the room can cause some confusion. If they flamed you, I'd suggest reporting them in the post-game lobby for such behavior.

You'll want to remove the other player's names, not just cover them with a strikethrough. That won't suffice, period, as the names are still there and can easily be read.

Beyond that, though - if you really want to play a specific lane, you should play Draft pick. Blind pick is a godsawful free-for-all when it comes to role selection. Role-calling is only a courtesy, so it can't be enforced. If that's an issue for you - again, don't play Blind.
