reporting system is broken

so im sure there are a lot of people who agree and disagree with what im about to say, but i am going to say it because that is how freedom of speech works. so i have been reported the last like 4 games in a row because of "unsportsmanlike conduct" when i was literally just talking. yes i was talking in all chat, but NOTHING i was saying was offensive or profound in any way. even with that i still get reported because the enemy team lost and they were mad at me. this is absurd, last time i checked i was still allowed freedom of speech to talk even in video games whether its in all chat or team chat. i understand i cant curse people out and say profound and horrible things, but if i type "gg i am feeding" when i am 6/1/7 i am pretty sure i have not broken any laws or rules. sorry but this is stupid. just because kids are hoping on this game and offended by EVERYTHING IN LIFE doesnt mean i cant talk. fix this horrible system of whiny kids reporting people for EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN because it literally takes away from the game.

But were you punished?

People can click that report button for anything. That doesn't mean the reports will hurt you.

If you weren't unsportsmanlike, then it's not going to do anything, and they will even lose weight in their future reports.

Unless it actually punishes you for something you haven't done, it isn't broken. Otherwise it's working exactly how it's intended.

it just sets you back to see that pop up saying that you were reported, like you spend all your time just trying to enjoy a game just to get a message saying you are a scumbag. then you send reports against people who LEGIT do terrible things in the game and you que up and again and BOOM there they are, on your team again. there has to be a better way and idk i just feel like the current system favors majority over whats actually right and wrong.

It's a poorly phrased automatic pop up that's being misused sore losers and rito isn't doing anything about it. It's first sentence is demeaning and accusatory. "Your recent behavior isn't in line with how most of League players act." or whatever. But it's an automatic system for our own benefit and isn't saying we're guilty? How does it know that?

I enjoy that message, because it generally means someone was just really salty with how I destroyed them. I generally don't talk alot of shit, but if I know I can tilt you without saying anything too offensive, your damn right i'm going to.

Things like "love you" after you kill two people in a 1v2 situation really get under peoples skin. You generally get responses like "fuck you you sorry piece of shit" ranging to the good ole fashion Xbox "I fucked your mom". And when you just say "love you too" or come up with something witty, but not foul, it just makes them more angry.

That message means I won. Without doing anything offensive (well... thats relevant people take offense to "thank you sir"), i have made you angry enough to send it a false report.

I'm fairy sure before you get banned for anything, besides leaving, that rito has to actually look at your logs, and like me, do absolutely nothing to you.

I don't care how offended people get, that's not my problem, what is my problem is if they put a ward in the river they are crying.

I don't think you understand what "profound" means lol.

And yes the United States has freedom of speech, but that doesn't mean there aren't punishments that private companies (with their own rules which you agreed to) can't enforce.

I agree with you~! A lot of the time I get reported because people get mad for no reason. Like standing up for a friend that plays with me by saying "its really not his fault you dove in", their little group gets mad and reports me, or like last game I muted someone who flamed me and his buddy trolled me for the rest of the game, and they both report me cuz i wouldnt unmute him. The entire system is flawed. There is this thing called your first amendment right, and it is being stolen from us because people can't handle being told the truth. For instance if you play this game for fun, dont play ranked, and if you cant take being flamed dont flame others, mute them. There is no need for a system that bans people when people should be able to handle it themselves. STOP BABYING PEOPLE. This pussification of the human race is pathetic.
