Where is the justice?

So, I was playing a ranked game (about a month ago) on EUW and came across something that made me sick the stomach....Some of you have probably heard about the terrorist (Anders Breivik) that shot and killed 69 children on an Island called Utøya in Norway, back in 2011. I lost 2 friends that day.

In my team there was this guy... He called himself "Anders x Utøya".. (He still has that name btw). I got furious ofc and asked him why he had chosen that gamertag, I also told him i lost dear ones to that "man". He then proceded to tell me that the murderer/terrorist Anders Breivik was his hero, and Norway needed a "purge". I mean.. Even if he was trolling... To say something like that... It is unforgivable..

After the game I sent a report to Riot, asking for justice. Justice for two of my friends that got killed in 2011. Riot didn't seem to care.

So im reaching out here so someone can help me get this guy banned. He is still playing league of legends with that name. It's an insult to all the families and friends who lost loved ones back in 22.July.2011. Please help me serve justice. My thanks.

First of all, this isn't a courtroom. There's no justice.

Second, go to https://support.riotgames.com and file a report under "I have a question".

They'll likely force a change.

Anders got arrested and convicted. Justice is done.

report him for offensive name (it's one of the category in the report) and move on. What "justice" are you looking for? Frankly, I'm not even sure the name or what he said should even be punishable. What he said truly is distasteful, there is no doubt about that, but if I were to say "America needed a "purge" in-game, would you report me? Would you expect me to be punished? I'm not defending him (no one should even joke about that stuff, but this "justice" you are seeking is kinda over the top)....

I'm sure you were very polite when chatting with him to illicit those responses...

I have to agree that's a pretty messed up username. I hope he's forced to change it.

Ehh... don't take it personal or serious. People have every right to be offensive in life, and on the internet, it's like a goal. Since this is a game with rules on names and shit, I can see getting this guy banned being just. But in life, try not to carry vengeance for people who make jokes or even are serious about differing opinions on tragedies like shootings, or 911, or the atomic bomb being dropped on hiroshima. When someone makes a joke about that, I highly doubt you care as much, because it's not personal to you, even though thousands more were affected. So try not to carry a double standard just because one particular event affected you personally. If i ever saw someone get locked up for saying 9/11 was a good thing (as abhorrent as that is) I would lose faith in the future of humanity completely (if it happened in America, that is). We have to keep freedom of thought and speech, however disagreeable those thoughts or words are. Sorry for the rant, it isn't applicable in this case, as this is a gaming community, but I just had to speak generally on that vengeful attitude.
