Could someone explain to me how this chat log gave me a 14 day suspension?

Going out of your way to insult your teammates is toxic behavior.

How recently were your 10-game and 25-game chat restrictions, and was this the only log provided?

yes, this was the only log provided, and I only went out of my way to defend an enemy member, and defending myself from getting flamed by 2 teamates.

The expectation would be that your two previous chat restrictions would have taught you the pointlessness of "defending yourself" by flaming back in games of League. Just mute, report, and move on.

Did you have chat restrictions before? You are calling for reports (which falls under harassment) and are not that friendly to your teammates but this chat log is not worth a 14 day ban on it's own imo

Yea, I've had up to a 25 day chat restriction, I honestly didn't know defending myself, and others was bannable, yet I do realize I did it in a harsh way.

Ah well then it makes sense, whenever you get punished for smaller things you will escalated one tier further in the punishment thingy

10 game chat restriction >> 25 chat game restriction >> 14 day ban >> perma ban (you can skip tiers by being extremly toxic)

You are defentitly allowed to defend yourself but I would recommend you to rather just use the mute button and just report the person after the game. Trying to argue will just make the whole situation more toxic. And there is no reason to call for reports btw, 1 report counts as much as 9, so if you think someone should be punished then just report them on your own

You were not defending yourself, or others. You were retaliating.

Defending means, that you take actions to stop the attacks - in this case, the flame. You can do that with the mute function.

Flaming the other people is not defending yourself, it makes the situation worse for everyone.

You present such logs again in your games, and you will receive a permanent ban.

Well I'm guessing you've had your 25 game chat restrict? If so, the next step is 14 day suspension for breaking the rules again. The only rule breaking I see is

"mad bec he is feeding 11 minutes into the game" "Competitive nerd" Calling for reports on the same person 3 times. "Ban urself 1-7-7" (probably directed at your teammate and shaming him for his kda) "Still doing better than Tahm Kench" (If Tahm was an opponent, and you said this in ally chat, I would say you're fine. But if you said that to Tahm kench... should be obvious) "Dude ur 10 deaths"

Nothing really bad. That's why I assume you've had a 25 chat restrict already.

What you did wrong.

  • You were toxic
  • Refused to help players. (Them being toxic isn't an excuse)
  • You kept harassing players (By telling them you were going to report them)

Regardless if they're toxic to you, doesn't mean you're obligated to be toxic back. You continue to harass varus instead of muting him and keep him muted. Since you refused to play the game positively, you were punished. Just because someone is toxic doesn't mean you're allowed to be toxic. You're punished because you're toxic.

Don't do it again, your next punishment will be a permaban.
