This community is just a cesspool. I'm just glad this game hasn't died yet since it keeps (some of)the toxicity out of other game communities. No new players are going to join with this level of toxicity in every game though. I had a hunch of how bad things were going in, so my skin is a bit thicker to the blatant racism, sexism, elitism, and general immaturity; but someone who just wants to try a new game is going to be flabbergasted.

Thanks for the chat restrictions too by the way. I've tried so hard to be super sportsmanlike, but people find it hilarious to report you for saying you're going to report them or for telling them to stop being such jerks. The couple of friends I made in the past 2 weeks of trying this game out again were absolutely shocked and surprised that I got the restrictions, probably as much as I was.

Yes. I'm bad at the game. That's fine. I don't care. You can all stop telling me how bad I am. That's not the point of this. Going into every match with everyone being egotistical (you're to blame for that one for your insane focus on e-sports Riot) and rude is just not fun. Low level normal type games should be relaxing. It isn't though. Everyone is always spamming memes and insults. Ban my account for this post or whatever you have to do; I don't really care at this point. I'll try again in a year or so, but things have only gotten worse thus far. It saddens me to see the game I once enjoyed completely ruined by a company's ineptitude and just utter indifference. I have not had a single game without at least one player being a total asshole. Not one.

tl;dr: this community is as bad as everyone says it is, don't let the door hit you on the way out, etc.

actually i once played a game (allods:online) where the community was 100 times worse. you had to pay real money for runes, which made your equip stronger. if you didnt deal enough dmg (meaning if you didnt waste enough money on runes) the 3 big guilds that existed all set you on a blacklist on their homepage. every member of the guild had to block you or they got kicked out. ~ 90% of the high level players were in those 3 guilds and all had you blocked. enjoy your pvp and your late game inis. because noone was going to take you with them. your whole account was worthless, because the community said you didnt waste enough money.

that is, for me, the worst community ever. in lol you can just block someone, report them and move on.

Having actually played many online games, including other MOBAs, I can confidently state that League of Legends has some of the lowest 'toxicity' of any major online game I've ever played. The problem is that in modern times, leftist/feminists like the OP are spending most of their time in hug-box echo chambers where real conflict or diversity exists.

Thus, these people legitimately think they've experienced "The Internet" as the average player does. They think that League of Legends has "a bad community"... and yet if they played almost any modern FPS or even most MMORPGs on red servers, they'd find that their prior words were pure unadulterated (Insert forbidden word here).

It's the "Safe space" argument, which has always been utter trash.
