Unwarranted Automatic Permanent Account Ban

A friend of mine notified me today that he got his main account ( 5+ years old) permanently banned for "use of malicious 3rd party software". However, we both know that he has never used bots/scripts etc. What's more concerning is that RIOT won't disclose the information that got his account red-flagged by their auto-ban software, so he's not even sure what to look for on his computer that could have triggered the ban.

It seems like a lot of people got banned for language violations, but after his last temp ban for poor language, he hasn't been toxic since. Seems really sketchy and after getting perma banned from another game after my account was hacked, I'm very sensitive to potential scams in games I really enjoy playing.

RIOT please look into what may trigger your permanent bans because it's very unfair to those of us who have played faithfully and spent our hard earned money on skins, rune pages, etc over the years just to get permanently banned.

Best case scenario he gets unbanned and we can play more games together.

Worst case scenario we all migrate to Overwatch - but I love League so much I don't want that to even be an option!

He can submit a ticket and request they take another look at his case. They will say why they can't disclose information on what they did find (because it can compromise their investigations).

I have too just reacently been perma banned as well for this reason, yesterday around 2:30PM, I was accused of using scripts or 3rd party programs. I am in need of help as much as you are.

I know its weird to say this but I think the new client did this, I feel like there is some under lying backdoors that need to be addressed and we are paying the price because of there mistakes

FYI, if your buddy's account was logged in from a computer that had unauthorized 3rd party programs installed, he'll be dinged for the ban.

The script doesn't have to be active when he (or someone else) logs in.

I was just banned for the same reason. Never shared my account or been hacked. Submitted a ticket and hope the response will shed some light as to what could have triggered the flag. I am still using the old client and dont know if that has anything to do with it, or that I have used my mouse buttons for other games before. At this point I'm at a loss as to what could have caused this ban. After 7 years and tons of money sunk into my account I would truly regret being banned unfairly and given no concrete reasoning or evidence as to what it is I got banned for.
