The league community needs to man the fuck up.

Learn how to deal with disappointment without lashing out like a damn child. Talk like an adult. Treat your peers with respect. Don't dissolve into a pathetic pile of tears and edgelord cancer memes the minute something doesn't go your way.

cyberbullying does not exist

Wrong.

thats why the tribunal system is so flawed

The Tribunal hasn't been active for years.

why would u report someone for bm if you can just mute them at the start?

Because it doesn't matter if the mute feature exists, rules are rules. If you want to be an ass, you do so at the risk that someone will report you.

The existence of the mute feature does not exempt you from the rules.

you need to man the fk up and admit you were toxic.

man the fk up to your responsibilities.

You literally called someone a "bitch boy" when someone asks how long was your ban. Look who's talking.

"Manning up" means to do the right thing. It doesn't mean to drag your knuckles on the ground like the other toxic trolls around here.

How does one man up while still trash talking other people over a game? Seems like the two are mutually exclusive to me, because one requires you to be an adult instead of a fucking child.

I agree. People can't take criticism for shit. Most people criticize another so they can get better at the game. But of course most people rely on the report system and completely ignore the criticism and report the other. Of course, he/she gets ban and the reporter doesn't get better at the game. A lose-lose situation.

Its not soft; its being vindictive. You know you can punish someone with reports. Play games where you dont really have that option, and its amazing how thick your skin is. Its weird how that works. Like me personally; I can go play a game without report options, and get flamed to the ends of the earth, and it doesn't really bother me. But in league, it ACTUALLY bothers me. Because I have recourse for action. I have no way of punishing those people in other games, so I just have to deal with it. But in league, I have the report system, so if that guy says one thing out of the way to me, you bet your ass I'm dropping the hammer on him as soon as we get to post-game; out of pure spite. Its actually kind of interesting how that works and affects me, and other players.

Now, I'm not saying the system should be gone. Some people need reported. But the system is abused to "punish" other players in vindictive ways. Which is why nearly every single game I'm in, someone is asking for reports on someone. Its rare, I mean REALLY rare, that I'm in a game that no one asks for reports or threatens a player with reports.

If I made one change to the system, it would be punishments for false reports, more punishment for threatening with reports. Nowadays, report spam is used as a strong-arm tactic to get someone to play like you want them to. Threatening players with reports is one of the most toxic things in LoL. Its a strong-arm tactic, and nearly every game that happens, that game is over. It just falls apart. Those people asking for reports in all chat should have the hammer dropped on them, and told why. If more and more people would get banned for using reports in vindictive ways, then the system would be better overall. Less trash reports clogging up the system.

People do not need to 'man up', have 'thick skin', etc.

Yet I also suggest there should be no need for a 'safe space'.

Perhaps we should all treat each other in a civilized fashion. conducting ourselves with gentlemanly manners and playing sportsmanlike games.

What ever happened to simple respect? Perhaps It died when the great glorious interwebz allowed people simple anonymity.

But we don't HAVE to be jerks to other people. Even with our electronic anonymity, we can still treat each other with respect.
